If I was an American citizen...faced with the choice before me. (Which I am not) having seen the track record over the last few years and looking very closely at Mr. Biden.

Unreservedly absolutely I would vote for Mr. Trump

Fair play for saying that.

But what exactly over the last few years makes you think that ?

Indeed, we are about to witness an explanation that is either very brave or very foolish!

Posting on the internet isn't brave and he won't say anything that will bring us round to his way of thinking.

Well, let's read it first...I am genuinely curious as to anyone could attempt to back up that view.

Agreed, but be careful, they don't seem a tolerant bunch in here.

For anyone that can't quite get enough of all the drama in the last 5 years, I'd recommend The Comey Rule that's currently available on Sky Atlantic.

It's based on Comey's book, so is incredibly kind to him and his team (McCabe, Strzok, Page et al) and possibly paints then all as incorruptible heroes, but I found it a brilliant way to understand the scenarios that played out around the Clinton emails investigation in 2016, and some of the motivations of the key players.

There's some amazing big name cast into uncanny lookalike roles. Jeff Daniels is Comey (probably the least like their real life counterpart), Holly Hunter as Sally Yates, Scoot McNairy plays Rod Rosenstein like Salieri to Comey's Mozart, McCabe is played by the guy that was Doug Stamper in House of Cards which will be welcome for fans of that show. I knew nothing about who was in it when I started watching so when Trump makes his entrance in episode 3, it was pretty great - but you're better off not looking up who plays him, and then wondering if it could have been done by anyone else. All 4 eps are ready to stream.

He won't explain why. He'll just repeat the usual talking points and hide his real reasons.

He might (just might) say that it's down to the $$$$s.

That sounds interesting, I will take a look.

I am just getting to the end of the three-part series 'The trump Show'.

Christ, it has been hard work just getting through it. It is like living the whole three-year nightmare all over again. What a genuine tragedy the trump 'presidency' has been.

It's been said before, often, but it is hard to believe someone so significantly mentally ill could ever have got into this position. None of us know what will happen next, whether he wins or loses the election, but if there is any good to come out of this, surely the USA must try to put into place some safeguards to ensure nothing like this can ever happen again.

The second half of the last episode, which is from when coronavirus arrived, is particularly astonishing. If there is one word I think best describes trump it is this:

Weak.

yes

The trouble is that I doubt many in the middle grounds will vote for Biden because he’s Joe Biden, it’s because he isn’t Trump. It’s a bit of a risky play by the Democrats as they could have wiped the floor if they had a decent candidate.

I reckon it’ll be a Biden win, but don’t think Trump will get the trouncing he merits.
Who would you have preferred?

I think it's either going to be a close call so Trump goes to court, it ends up before SCOTUS, and we can see where THAT goes, or Trump will get kerb stomped- make Nixon v McGovern in '72 look like a dead heat
