This may be the last volume with Trump as President.
Careful use of the word there

Well with 2 weeks to go before election day my side bet of not getting to Vol 12 looks safe providing he doesn't do a stupid thing every day and generate a huge amount of posts

Vol Number Start Date End Date Days Weeks
Vol 10 23/10/2020
Vol 9 22/06/2020 23/10/2020 123 18
Vol 8 16/02/2020 22/06/2020 127 18
Vol 7 23/07/2019 16/02/2020 208 30
Vol 6 16/11/2018 23/07/2019 249 36
Vol 5 11/07/2018 16/11/2018 128 18
Vol 4 14/02/2018 11/07/2018 147 21
Vol 3 18/08/2017 14/02/2018 180 26
Vol 2 16/02/2017 18/08/2017 183 26
Vol 1 09/11/2016 16/02/2017 99 14

9 volumes have averaged 23 weeks per vol

Double or quits on another term and total of less than 24 volumes means I can't lose either way biggrin

I don’t think republicans will change their vote. At best, they may decline to vote.

The only thing that matters is that last time some democrats actually voted for trump thinking he was a change to the normal political status quo, despite running republican. It’s these votes that matter.

I thought Donald did well last night considering what he is like. As the old fashioned Littlewoods Pools would say

NO SCORE DRAW

It ain't going to affect the outcome.

The big winner was the people organising it and the host. Well done, a bit late though.

It does seem to have slipped too far away from his grasp to claw back yet there's still a niggle in the back of my mind that he still has a chance. If the polls and what the media are saying are true then he's a gonner, end of, game over but.........

I said in a previous volume that I think there'll be a lot of shy Trump voters out there and I still think there will be. He's as toxic as a very toxic thing, much more so now than he was in 2016, especially since the whole BLM and Antifa stuff started kicking off. He still paints himself as the American patriot however and the only option if America is to stay a land of the free and we all know what Americans are like for all of that stuff!

When Trump voters are being called fascists, racists and white supremacists etc you've got to wonder how many out there are keeping hush about who they're actually going to vote for....
I'm still assuming that he ends up fiddling the vote somehow. No idea how, whether through direct action or concocting something through the courts. I just don't trust the guy one inch.

I agree. I don't think we can rule out anything, there's nothing he would not be prepared to try. I am genuinely concerned about the period between November 4th and Jan 2021. He could do an almighty amount of further damage.

On the one hand I'd love Donald to get absolutely smashed soon, coz he hates losing so much.

On the other hand I'd love him to win just to show the insanity of a country that is as big as a continent trying to run itself by a charter 200+ years old when people wore tricorn hats.

And it would be more fun with Trump in charge if the Senate goes more Dem and the icing of a GOP SCOTUS.

I know it is checks and balances, but that is like a large cake with so many layers it could almost be proportional representation

America is the Roman empire after the good old days. They don't yet realise that yet......

You can't fiddle the vote either way in the USA. Too many backstops, though it would take some time to unravel.

The constitution, though I just slagged it off as being olde worldee, is still up for that, at least.

I posted a trump 'meme' on facebook which got taken literally to mean I was a supporter and was absolutely appauled at some of the comments where people were insulting my apperance, investing my business, etc etc. I deleted it after a few hours and luckily it didn't cause any lasting effect but regardless I can see now why trump supporters will be stubborn to change their views - I can't imagine getting that amount of st daily!
The extremists on both sides are verging on mentally ill. Best to avoid using your real name with anything to do with politics on social media at the moment. Remember the good old days when you could discuss things civilly and still be friends? frown

Trump's campaign has, again, used stock footage from Russia and Slovenia in a digital ad intended to convince voters that America is bouncing back from the pandemic.

That voter obstruction again

Nationwide, nearly 21,000 polling stations have closed since 2016. Of the 45 states that have in-person voting, 40 eliminated polling stations. This could mean long drives and long lines on Election Day—and it might keep some people from voting at all.

But if you don't vote for Biden then you aren't black, and don't forget that poor kids are just as talented as white kids. The left's double standards are the only standards they have.

Whilst I try to actively avoid the orange one, today my alarm clock news briefing played a story about him.

He was saying that he's done more for black folk than anyone else. Anyone else, except, maybe Abraham Lincoln.

Jesus.
He also said he was the least racist person in the room which I expect won’t play well with black voters considering the moderator was black.

Am I the only one that noticed the time keeper kept cutting Trump short, way short on occasion but letting Biden continue on way past the clock. Trump was more restrained than normal. His backroom boys must of had a word.

Let’s hope!
Quite possible that with the election less than two weeks away and everything that entails, that this thread could reach the 500 page limit quite quickly. Also worth noting that Trumps presidency doesn't end on Novermber 3rd if he loses. Imagine the damage he can do from then until mid January 2021.

Assuming they can get him to leave.

You appear to be the only one. None of the usual pro-Trump accounts on Twitter have mentioned it.

He's already trying to tip the vote.

It's almost certain that he's not finished. With the supreme Court stacked he can get away with a lot.

The American reverence for their old documents (constitution and bill of rights) is admirable, but ultimately the defence of both relies entirely on having enough good people in power to do the right thing.

That is why I've never been concerned with the fact Australia and the UK don't have one. The courts are quite willing to smack down a government that goes too far.

The James Woods radicalization is pretty scary stuff. I don't know a lot about him, but I am assuming it took trump to turn him as nuts as he is now?
