So where will they say the money is going?
FFS man stop being an attack dog for this echo chamber of a thread.I gave a plausible reason for having the bill read out .... nothing more
I'm not the republican press secretary so whilst I've got better things to do lets have a beer (socially distanced infront of our laptops) and watch McEnany or Tucker next week and we could both discover together where this potential line is being played to.
As I said
You can see the future headlines ... Biden big business or money for Pelosi's interest groups

Republicans in 20+ states have introduced bills to ban transgender girls from competing on girls' sports teams in high schools. Yet in almost all cases, sponsors can't cite a single instance in their state or region where participation has caused problems.
Legislators in more than 20 states have introduced bills this year that would ban transgender girls from competing on girls’ sports teams in public high schools. Yet in almost every case, sponsors cannot cite a single instance in their own state or region where such participation has caused problems.
The Associated Press reached out to two dozen state lawmakers sponsoring such measures around the country as well as the conservative groups supporting them and found only a few times it’s been an issue among the hundreds of thousands of American teenagers who play high school sports.
In South Carolina, for example, Rep. Ashley Trantham said she knew of no transgender athletes competing in the state and was proposing a ban to prevent possible problems in the future. Otherwise, she said during a recent hearing, “the next generation of female athletes in South Carolina may not have a chance to excel.”
In Tennessee, House Speaker Cameron Sexton conceded there may not actually be transgender students now participating in middle and high school sports; he said a bill was necessary so the state could be “proactive.”
Some lawmakers didn’t respond to AP’s queries. Others in places like Mississippi and Montana largely brushed aside the question or pointed to a pair of runners in Connecticut. Between 2017 and 2019, transgender sprinters Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood combined to win 15 championship races, prompting a lawsuit.

There is no need to wait until something as stupid as allowing previously testosterone enabled athletes to compete in women’s sports. It is patently obvious that allowing that to happen will ruin some women’s sports and the lifelong training of females in their chosen sport will be for naught. Madness Legislators in more than 20 states have introduced bills this year that would ban transgender girls from competing on girls’ sports teams in public high schools. Yet in almost every case, sponsors cannot cite a single instance in their own state or region where such participation has caused problems.

I spotted this as an interesting thread

@mattyglesias
Florida has had ~10 percent more deaths per capita than California ... you can say it’s worth it if you like but it’s not better.
Thread here: https://twitter.com/mattyglesias/status/1368349051...
which included
CA population: 39.984M
Covid cases: 3.59 (8.9785%)
Covid deaths: 53,889 (0.1347%)
1.5010% covid death out of the amount who had covid
FL population: 22.2M
Covid cases: 1.94M (8.7387%)
Covid deaths: 31,521 (0.1419%)
1.6247% covid death out of the amount who had covid
Worth a read of the whole thread, which mostly sums up what was discussed here

For the record, the senators who voted for the Covid relief bill represent 41,915,580 more people than the senators who voted against it.

Yes, all from California, New York, Oregon, Illinois, and other assorted blue states who are slated to get a lot of their deficits paid for in this "Covid Relief" package.https://www.vox.com/2021/1/6/22215728/senate-anti-...

So, Trump made England start to pay their fair share for NATO and such. You guys don't like having to pay.
I think you will find the U.K. has ALWAYS paid its fair dues ( and more to NATO ) Not so with other European countries, notably Germany
The world is littered with the graves of Brits and their Commonwealth allies that paid the ultimate price for others freedom
The U.K. has paid its dues in full and more

You've come in mid conversation,
The initial comment was why the republicans wanted the whole stimulus bill read out, I proposed that once read the republicans could use snippets and say that ... Look this bit is for (for eg: Pelosi's pet project) something not Covid related ... in the future
You can see the narrative already that lots of the stimulus isn't related to Covid relief
Jeff then immediately asked where it's going?? Twice.
I was highlighting the potential attack direction ... not going ... see look at this

OK - I misspoke about the U.K. Trump spoke up about other countries not paying. He did a lot of great things for the U.S. and in 45 days, "Biden" has undone a good chunk of it through Executive Orders. It was done just for spite. Killed off tens of thousands of pipeline jobs and support jobs so Biden could sniff Greta Thunberg's hair. Not so with other European countries, notably Germany

All I did was ask a question. And here's another one
What is Pelosi's pet project?
OK .... Just a quick googleWhat is Pelosi's pet project?
UK Covid support for the airline industry, Furlough payments to employee's, Business rate support
US Stimulus - Any airlines that get a stimulus support will be mandated to offset their carbon emissions within 5 years ... add that along side
Every organisation that receives stimulus support mandated to have officers and budget for diversity and inclusion for a minimum of 5 years after the support,
Every organisation that receives stimulus support to provide racial and sex of their officers and boardroom to the government and to document finance provided to business owned by woman & non whites alongside funds to diversity initiatives
It would appear that climate and diversity activation rate so much above support for Covid relief??
