Report it. Pass it up the chain.
Same as you do in every other job for every other organisation.

But punitive measures ( which I do think currently is lip service in sport ) - needs to be implemented.
eg. Ensure in top tier sport that every individual in every seat in the stadium is a named individual.
If you are caught on camera - Jail sentence, Punitive fines, Whatever deterrent is identified to work against the protragonist.
Not all sports venues have just seats.

Im all for tougher punishment for racism at venues, and fine with sports and players protesting/raising awareness the two aren’t mutually exclusive.

Name one country where there has never been racial abuse and we will see if they can move the races
It read as a general comment not just about F1 to me
Wasn't aimed at you, just the holier than thou posts that often occur on here

We all know BLM is a political movement, then various celebs and posters come out to say no it's not , it's about black lives.

I believe football has had 'kick it out' for a good long time with plenty of support from the fans, not it is politicised with BLM there is a backlash.

Do you think the previously football anti-racism thing was adequate though? I don't follow the game closely but I'm not convinced.

No - not all have seats.
Take each event in it's own merits.

Do you really think that racist attitudes needs raising awareness?

The only reason the sportsmen/women participate - is that the authorities are piss poor soft on addressing it.

Make the clubs/ authorities etc truly accountable - and put in measures that really are a deterrent.

New born babies are not racist. They only learn that.

Ask Marcus Rashford if that’s worked (or any other footballer who’s getting racially abused)

Do I think it needs more awareness yes, but it’s irrelevant what I think, it’s not me or my team mates getting racially abused.

You choose to leave, or stay, or report it, or make assumptions on the internet?

And as for Boris, that bastion of morality that he is, perhaps we should start by stopping all trade with Saudi, then China, Israel, Emirates they have appalling human rights records. Then perhaps I’ll listen to a bunch of overpaid billionaires making gestures for the sake of their social media accounts and to posters who couldn’t care less about the wider issues, as long as he can put a ‘racist’ spin on literally anything.

The way to stop it is to starve it of oxygen, not use it as a cheerleading exercise. I wonder, do you campaign for all social injustice or just ‘BLM’?

Still peddling this line without backing it up I see.

Your nuanced statements are boring, you’ll just continue in the same way. As you’ve just proven by picking one part of a post, rather than answering anything. Quite easy to see now tbh smile

There weren’t any questions in your post were there?

You keep accusing me of calling people racist, im just asking you to back it up, which you can’t.

If you’re bored by my posts by all means, in fact, please ignore them.

It’s not just me calling it out. But honestly I think you know what you’re doing. So if it’s all the same I’ll just highlight when the irony meter trips, just in case it does reach you?

I know its not just you, and neither of those can back it up either, strange that.

If you think I’m calling people on here racist just post where I’ve done it.

Oh and if i did accuse you of being racist, would you expect me to back that claim up?

Most teams don't. It's not compulsory.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's only England and now Scotland for the one game. And Scotland are only doing it to annoy a certain type of person.

If only one team did it, it would look less like a gesture. (Even though I like that Scotland have said they'll do it too.)

The Scotland captain Reg of the PFJ can explain

Our stance is that everyone, players, fans, teams, clubs, federations, governing bodies and governments must do more. Meaningful action is needed if meaningful change is to occur.

But it is also clear, given the events around the England national team, taking the knee in this tournament matters as a symbol of solidarity.

.....
Bob each way please.

Does it ever really happen anymore though? I go to the stands in Tottenham and I haven't heard any racist abuse in many a year now. In fact if it ever did happen I am sure the fans would police it themselves.

If you look at the demographic of your average gathering of Spurs supporters in the stands you would see a very diverse bunch of people. Not many of them would stay silent if some dhead decided to shout something horrible.

Online is a different matter. This will always happen, it's the modern equivalent of obscene graffiti and the main intent is to shock.

Just listening to James Cleverly being interviewed on LBC.
  • Fans shouldn't boo they should get behind the team
  • People shouldn't be bullied into doing it
  • It's not something he'd choose to do
Seems sensible enough.
