BBC yet again showing bias towards the Tories.
That rather assumes Hancock is a Tory hehe

A cheerleader for endless lockdowns wouldn't have met that definition in the past.

Seems to be a common trait for that type

I thought Britain had moved on from such puritanical pointless views. What 2 or more consenting adults get up to is of no concern to anyone else. Not long ago we destroyed many of our greatest minds for being "queer", at last we have realised peoples sexuality is up to them.

Are you a philanderer then?

I don't think it is puritanical to view people who have affairs as of low moral substance.

And do we want those people in extremely powerful positions controlling budgets of billions?

In many jobs this would fail your security clearance.

I think you are being a little naive. Of course there is the salacious gossip element.

But beyond that we have a government minister employing his mistress as his senior advisor. Who happens to be a director of a PR company (Luther Pendragon), at a time when the government have often not followed their own procurement best practise rules for large contracts due to the "pandemic". So as a taxpayer I would like some reassurance that Hancock hasn't pushed some large contracts to Luther Pendragon in return for the personal favours he gets from their director.

It's more that when you're employing one of them and when you're at it in your employers offices it raises questions around judgement and given Hancock's performance it also raises questions whether your mind has been elsewhere.

As much as I love this little 'petard', I can't help but think the leak looks a little suspicious. I wonder if it's an expedient time to tarnish Hancock and get rid of him, nicely timed ahead of the July unlocking... then finding him a suitable 'not-in-office/reputation-damaged' scapegoat.

Is having an affair a resigning offence these days? It would be somewhat hypocritical of Boris to sack him for it.
Was mixing of households allowed in this manner?

Couldn’t care less where he gets his kicks, but it feels good to see the odious, lying, little ahole be taken down a peg or two.

I like how the Tory party attracts so many MPs with family moral values.

Big +1 from me. And - if it was common knowledge- why didn't Cummings blow the whistle?

It sounds pretty but that sort of stuff is very important.
That and the fact she was brought in by him and paid from the public purse.

It's whisky and revolver time for Hancock.

The leaking of the images is another indication of a dysfunctional government.

The couple of grainy pics they’ve published aren’t exactly proof of an affair IMO. I wonder if they have more evidence tucked away

CCTV from inside UK Gov buildings being leaked is not great - as a side note!

I think they are, personally. It depends to a degree on your definition of an affair, but my line is “would his wife be ok with it if he did this in front of her”.

This is all a little too convenient though, i do wonder what’s next.

With the leaking of WhatsApp or text messages from the PM and this you have to ask wtf is going on
