They need to land a proper blow as she’s just waffling on this.
Someone needs to go for the kill.
There's no kill-shot - it doesn't exist, I don't think.Someone needs to go for the kill.
It's stey waters, of that there's no doubt, but nothing of note is going to come of this for Sturgeon herself. Swinney *might* end up resigning if VONC holds, and the indy momentum will probably sustain a bloodied nose, but that's about it, as far as I can see.
It sounds like posturing on both sides. There has not been any "revelation" evidence and the questions have not exposed any cracks which cannot be waffled over. I would suspect that both sides will claim victory and this will rumble on for some time.
1-2 of the newspapers will put together the facts as they see them and there will be a few tricky days but there is nothing been said which will make a difference to her position yet

For someone who is the elected Head of Government, I am somewhat surprised at how superficial her recollection of events, times and meeting content is.
Whether this is diversionary or a genuine issue, but she seems to have a head like a sieve when it comes to recalling timelines and details of what should be considered “important stuff”...

For a control freak by she knew very little about whather govt was doing.Whether this is diversionary or a genuine issue, but she seems to have a head like a sieve when it comes to recalling timelines and details of what should be considered “important stuff”...
I was under the impression from her previous comments that she was relishing the opportunity to giver her version of events. All I've seen so far is deflection, replying to questions not asked, not knowing, not been notified and so on. Quite shoddy really.
Fraser and Baillie have been on the ball with answering questions and reminding NS that requests for certain documents have failed to materialise or were months late.
She is certainly not her usual fluent and unflustered self. When she was asked if Aberdein had lied about been notified of one of the complainers name her reply spoke volumes.
Is the Convener on the NS payroll? For her to shut down her duty convener seemed a bit off and unprofessional.
She'll walk away from this unscathed and it'll soon be forgotten about.
