It's enough to get me to sort out my postal voting options. I have been outside the country for 10 years now, so didn't vote before as I didn't think it too fair given I wouldn't be affected by many of the decisions of my possible vote. But need to try and hold them to some responsibility, given how clearly screwed up the separation between party, government and justice system is now.
Seeing they are delaying the count till the weekend after the vote

it might not be worth your effort

as you can bet for covid reasons that only "officials" are around the completed votes

These are public health briefings that have proved essential throughout the past year - for Willie Rennie to imply that somehow the first minister would take advantage of that is frankly beneath him.
rofl

That was a joke, right?

Anyway, topic buzzing around my head this morning: are any of us following this thread considering voting for All 4 Unity? Personally my tactical constituency vote is Conservative (gulp) but my regional vote would normally go LibDem as I am a wishywashy centerist. After Sarwar's election I'm considering Scottish Labour for the regional vote.

It's fooling her supporters.

One of them I know was on arsebook saying what a good performance she gave.

These clowns really are blind to what their leaders are doing to their beloved country.

It's actually quite sad.

she gave an assured performance. Really, the committee had nothing. Zero. No killer blow, no smoking gun over an eight hour interrogation. Probably said more about the quality of the Tories and Labour. They are dross.

It was a good performance, it's about the best performance you could manage when you're unable to refute the evidence.

A masterclass in spin and bluster. Presumably that won't get her far with the Hamilton enquiry. I live in hope biggrin

chap, you sound depressed, but, fear not, the imminent Ministerial Code investigation results will give another opportunity for five minutes of unbridled frothing. Happy Days.

Here's what someone said to me yesterday, just after the session finished, quoted verbatim -

"She's handled herself very well. Been fascinating to listen and to watch as well.

She speaks well without documentation in front of her. Not like the others, picking away. The the lead convener has been good."

Highest-rated comment on the SnpTV Facebook post on this story was about how this was a concerted attack on "Scotland" by Salmond in cahoots with the "unionists".

Ironic how it was Salmond who opened this whole Pandora's box.

They class speaking well as repeating multiple versions of "I can't remember"??

There's not much requirement for the usual script when that's all you're going to say!

I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that those voters who are mostly likely to need a lift to the polling station are also those voters least likely to vote SNP. rolleyes

My hardcore SNP friend went on a rant about the Tories yesterday. And posted a "donate to SNP" link at the end of it too!

Also mentioned "I’m also fed up and sick to the stomach by the whining of the Working class Scots that are easily sucked in by the establishment media’s anti-Scottish pish. Get a fking grip of yourselves ffs. Learn to read between fkn the lines."

And of course did the useful fallback that Edinburger always uses of even if the SNP are dodgy it doesn't matter as it's just to get independence and then we can choose our own FREEDOM anyway.

As YOU are going to win indyref2 in December after us unionist scum have been purged from holyrood in may

I can see the SNP having maybe a 300 seat majority

Anyway

Once i have moved back to the natural home of england for us anti scottish tory scum

What will the SNP be able todo to FORCE wastemonster to give them a good leaving deal?

What do you lot actually have in your hand for bargaining?

Oil and gas is dead
The Uk have already promised to cover the UK debts
The worlds largest offshore wind farm is in english waters
