I notice a stoney silence from SNP re the hated “Westminster government”, getting US tariffs for Malt Whisky and Cashmere removed.
Few mumbles of “ it’s only for 5 years”, from the distillers but that’s it.
if you believe that was down to Boris 'Hopeless as Hancock' Johnson you are out of your tiny.

p.s. 2 - 0 Scotland tonight. No patriots on here? hehe

Well it certainly wasn’t down to the Scottish government.
No, correct, it was Biden telling the UK how its going to be, going forward. Johnson will have said 'thank you, sir'.

Come On Scotland!! Easy!!

Civic Nationalism is travelling to another part of our own country while chanting how much they hate the people around them, so
does Humza's hate crime bill apply to Scots down south?

"When Nicola Sturgeon was pressed by an STV journalist for comment on swirling allegations of a missing £600,000 independence ‘fighting fund’, she said she was “not concerned”. But judging by the absence of SNP accounting transparency, I think she should be."

Some real murky st at the core of this SNP cabal......

Just a random thought.
Will they have to change the Union Jack if Scotland gains independence and is no longer part of the union?

The Union Jock majority will make sure there wont be independence, wouldn't worry about it.

This would be the obvious result:

A google search reveals a number of suggestions, none of which has blue on it.

Why isn't she on the news slamming the actions of her fellow countrymen/women?

Imagine if they did get independence,London would look like this every day.

That is one of the best performances by Scotland I have seen since the 1970's.

But...

We still have the Scottish disease.

1/ Put on a blue shirt and you are 6-10 inches smaller in height than your opponent.
2/ We still have a dearth of talent capable of putting a ball in the back of the net.

But, this was a very good performance. Need to build on it over the next 4-8 years.

Are the SNP really so bad? That got your attention. Consider this.

There is a by election for Batley and Spen - that's Yorkshire, save you looking it up - and the outgoing MP was the TV actress Tracy Breadbin (sorry should read Brabin, its a local thing) who has become the Mayor. I got the postal voting form today and there are 16 candidates consisting of the main parties, the Monster Loony nutcase and a lot I've never heard of. Except one who lives in Dumfries who you might just remember. Goes by the name of George Galloway.

The neighbouring MP in Wakefield, Imran Ahmad Khan who is one of Boris's party, has today been charged with a sexual assault on a 15 year old boy in 2008.

I doubt Georgie boy will win but if he does, rule under Krankie may yet be an option for me. The Sun's front page for tomorrow: Bad News Nicola.... England and Scotland can't be separated.

You are comparing the ideology and competence of an entire political party against one individual.

The SNP Govt are quite simply destroying Scotland.

Ferries
Education
Health
Bridges
Drug deaths/ beds
etc etc etc

If you want your life to be a lot worse than it has been - keep voting in the SNP.

I had to laugh at the Scotland manager (? - I don't actually know, I don't follow football), but someone from the team pre-match pontificating on their chances. He helpfully pointed out England have 60m people and Scotland 5m people and lots of the England team are major international superstars. I can't comment on the truth of the make up of the team but drawing comparison on the size of country did get a little close to "they have a much bigger pool of talent to draw from so of course they are going to have a stronger team but we've fielded the best we could muster and we are all very enthusiastic".

It did make me think of how that could parallel an independent Scotland and where, how and of what quality it would draw its Government and politicians from.... I'm sure they'll all be very enthusiastic however.

Exactly. All we can seem to muster at the present time is a bunch of lacklustre incompetents headed by narcisstic crooks, liars and troughers.
Handing an independent Scotland over to them will not result in a sudden change to honesty, integrity, intellectual prowess and competence.

yes, we would be a lot better off if we were ruled directly by Johnson's Tories coz they possess honesty, integrity, intellectual prowess and competence hehe

Heard Chic Young on the radio saying Billy Gilmore's younger brother is potentially even better.

This is exactly the argument my SNP supporting colleagues make.
Better to be ruled by corrupt incompetents born in Scotland than old Etonian corrupt incompetents.

This argument would hold water if we are vociferous in our criticism of 'our' crooked incompetents as we are of 'their' crooked incompetents. Sadly we seem to turn a blind eye to rhe many and varied inconsistencies of Holyrood
