So is Byker allowed to post in this thread or not?

I assume he's still banned, as he's not posted here since the ban.
No Byker is not banned from the thread, he has the ability to post as and when he chooses.

HTHE.
When Big Al posts all I hear is the Voice of God.

Or Death, in various Discworld novels...

That's pretty tragic, printing an article like that on no more than the testimony of a convicted fraudster and snake oil man.
I wonder how he came into Trumps orbit...

So, a third party mod then, only responding to reports rather than being bona fide forum members?
We don't have any third party mods, we all moderate all threads as and when the need arises.

Ah, OK Al, I was under the impression that a mod with .mod after his name was third party hired in.

My mistake, apologies.

To be honest, that is even more worrying - that a 'seasoned' Mod would take the same heavy-handed course of action, without knowing anything about the poster in question or the the thread, or conferring with anyone else eek
Routine moderation is routine moderation, you don't have to take into account any information about the member other than what can be read on his admin tab.

Please try to remember that there a thousands of members on this site posting stuff all day long we could never be expected to know each and everyone posting style. So if a report comes in on whatever thread we just endeavour to sort that issue and move on to the next.

That sounds to me like an argument to have mods for specific sections only rather than expecting the mods deal with the whole site and be pulled from pillar to post

Sorry, crossed wires me thinks, you are correct username.mod we would call an agency mod.

They could and have removed similar posts in the past IIRC, on this occasion that was not the case. Just a routine moderation action.

With the amount of reports that come in some days that would not be easy to manage, too many reports and not enough moderators. We are not always on the site 24-7, I could be away from the forums for a number of hours a day when I'm sweeping out the works canteen or repainting the Sin Bin, it does get bloody messy in there at times.hurl

In fact we have tried over the years to get a few NP&E dedicated forum mods but they don't last very long as it's a st job TBH.

Thanks for the reply, you mentioned threads asking for new mods and I can't say I have ever seen one, not saying they never happened. Maybe now would be a good time to recruit?

I would happily look after the international phers section.

As for np&e not on your life its a vipers pit and il admit to being an asp.

Thanks everyone for your support, one of PH's finer moments coming from the cesspool that the usual suspects are trying to make NP&E. Deeply appreciate those trying to hold the liars to account. Interesting to see many new accounts jump in to condemn me.

There's further investigations into trump org tax avoidance. This time its company executive Matthew Calamari, previously trumps bodyguard, being investigated over not paying taxes on perks, at least the fourth executive we know of being investigated over this.

The link for this story is on the Wall Street Journal
https://www.wsj.com/articles/donald-trump-bodyguar...

trump likes to reward his bodyguards. Remember the 'consultancy' that Keith Schiller is paid by the RNC on $15k a month. Keith is the man who was present for the Moscow miss world, who Stormy Daniels and Karen McDonnell said organised their visits to trump.

Edit: Just to add some discussion on this, remember that prosecutors are already targeting trump org CFO and COO (Weisselberg, Calamari) and that Trump Organization official Jeff McConney has already testified to the grand jury, which means he took immunity
Link to that story here: https://abcnews.go.com/US/manhattan-da-brought-tru...

Cohen has met prosecutors over ten times, says they already have enough to take trump down. Are they starting to squeeze others for more dirt on trump, or don't they care and it's just signs they are starting towards the top and working upwards? We know donald Jnr is panicking

If anyone would like to read how trumps Chief of staff Mark Meadows tried pressuring the acting Attorney General Rosen to look the wild claims that an Italian defense contractor assisted by the CIA used satellites to switch votes to Biden, then the Washington Post has a good article on the subject.
