They stopped the Senate liason attending the fraudit because they didn't like that he said they hadn't found anything after months and so far it tallyed with the countys original recount... and he's GOP Ken Bennett, a former Arizona secretary of state

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/gop...

and Arizona could face a more than $9 million clean up bill after their partisan, Republican-supported fake audit.

Its already going to cost the $3m to replace the voting machines Cyber Ninjas have had for months, now trump wants them to hand over all routers, which will cost $6m to replace...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/07/27...

It was reported last night that Arizona state Senate officials issued a new subpoena demanding the county turn over the routers, all traffic logs, envelopes from all mail-in ballots or images of them and detailed voter registration records

If there is anybody in this mad group who is capable of even a basic understanding of the issues around auditing let alone 'the routers' I would be amazed. Anyone with the intelligence to make sense of it would also be intelligent enough to know there are no issues. They are the ones who are being binned off for not coming up with the 'right' results. This whole episode would be hilarious if it wasn't such a colossal waste of money.
The Fraudit worked.

The goal wasnt to prove Trump won. It was to get ahold of the voting machines and ballots so they could be spoiled and could not longer be used to definitively prove Trump lost allowing them to carry on the lie. It was to create FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt).

Fortunately it was a one time thing for two reasons. Firstly it took way to long, the opportunity to do the same in other states has passed. Secondly it was too public so no other state is going to let them do it again.

It has helped perpetuate Trump's big lie though.

Nearly seven months after the Capitol attack, the Senate is expected to pass a $2bn emergency spending package to improve security at the Capitol, then it will go to the House on onto Biden to be signed off
2 billion?

Whats the plan

Build a wall of cash around the place and then set fire to it to stop any future attacks
The 4 mile steel wall around Glastonbury cost about 1m. 2bn is ludicrous.

The whole bill is $2.1bn, but it covers lots of other stuff.
WSJ said:
In all, the bill will designate more than $520 million to reimburse the National Guard for its deployment to the Capitol after Jan. 6, $100 million for Capitol Police, $300 million for Capitol security measures such as hardening windows and doors and installing new cameras, $42 million to cover Congress’s Covid-19 costs and $1.1 billion to help resettle Afghans.

US govt. spending bills remind me of Aldi's utterly random specials.

Here's a bill to upgrade capitol security and resettle Afghans.

Been reading about this today:

DOJ officials told Trump that the department had no power to change the outcome of the election. He replied that he did not expect that:
“Just say that the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me."

I know that we've been so relentlessly bombarded with trump's crimes that it's easy to become sort of immune, but isn't this REALLY REALLY BIG?

Gaetz news...

We know he made payments to girls for Gaetz, found girls for him, and knows about the underage girl that Gaetz took across county lines...
.
If this turns out to be true - that Gaetz abused the county lines - then he is in a whole world of trouble.

Sex trafficking a minor, 10 years minimum jail time (I think), yes he's in a whole world of trouble. That's before you throw in statutory rape. Gaetz is fked. His mate has been given an extra 90 days to co-operate with prosecutors - imagine the stuff he's spilling and the people he's implicating!

DOJ ruling: The Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee has invoked sufficient reasons for requesting the former President's tax information. Under section 6103(f )(1), Treasury must furnish the information to the Committee.

House Ways and Means Chair Neal says d they always had a strong case, making the point trumps doj blocked it

Pelosi said the Biden .com has returned to law and the American people deserve to know the truth about trumps conflicts of interest and his undermining of security and democracy.

Bill pascrell said about time, they were demanded 849 days ago under the law that Trump chose to ignore

DOH have also ruled that there's no excuse team trump can use to avoid giving evidence to the Trump insurrection house investigation. They can't hide behind claiming executive privilege
