The oversight committee have released hand written notes by acting Attorney General Donoghue with details of a call with trump & former Acting AG Rosen showing that Trump pressured the two most senior officials at the DOJ to help overturn the election or risk losing their jobs

Trump...just say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me, according to the handwritten notes...
No wonder mcconnel, McCarthy didn't want an investigation

On the contrary, I, and several others, are grateful that Byker takes the time to update things in this thread.

The Tangerine turd is a stain on humanity and I can't wait for his downfall to happen.

And to be thanked for the excellent content he continually posts on this thread, although I'm sure he can speak for himself. Along with Farron from Ring of Fire I get all the real news and info from the USA I could possibly need.

I try, but when I see anything newsworthy about Trump, Byker has usually already posted it.

Ted Lieu says trumps attempts to threaten people with the sack if they didn't follow his Big Lie was against the law pointing out that
18 USC § 610 makes it a crime “for any person to…attempt to intimidate, threaten, command, or coerce, any employee of the Federal Government…to engage in, or not to engage in, any political activity”.

LoL I can almost feel the burning of impotent rage from here.

Back on topic, I can easily see this carrying on to the mid terms in 18 months with the Republicans having to tie themselves in knots to defend Trump.

Genuine question - do you honestly believe that Trump will even get to trial, let alone go to jail?

I really don’t like him but I just can’t see either happening.

He’s just too slippery.

It's good that there is a place where you can read up on the "Trump latest" if you want to know anything, but must admit that I'm a bit baffled by Byker's tenacity on the subject.

Trump hasn't really been mainstream news for a good few months (with the exception of the tax return thing in the last week), so it must take a fair bit of time trawling across a multitude of media outlets every single day to collect these various reports.

Byker - if you are reading - do you have any particular reason for this or has it just become a hobby of sorts?

Apologies if it's been asked before - no judgement or agenda, just curious.

Can't see him going to trial, much less being convicted.

Won't happen,

I really appreciate the amount of effort Byker puts into posting on such a regular basis. Am happy to feel the need to just read rather than to post myself

I have a mate living in North Carolina and he recommended an "impartial" source of news

https://thehill.com/

Between Byker and that website I can get my fill of American politics ( far more interesting than British politics)

Thanks Byker
