Magnificent.
Embedded so people know what it is. So many insults in three minutes. Brilliant.
"Lame Duck a l'Orange President"
The last four minutes are an awesome crescendo of justified anger

I can’t stand Brewdog either.I really can't stand brewdog
Their beers are absolutely awful, to my tastebuds, and they are one of these companies who think it’s ‘cool’ to constantly post ‘edgy’ stuff on social media.
Give it a fking rest. No one cares what you think. They just want you to brew beer. Or on my case, they don’t want you to brew beer.

That only gets about 3/10 on the "I'm not a Trump supporter but ..." index. The boring reality is that Trump outrages people who possess principles whether left or right of centre because of his outrageous words and outrageous acts and outrageous omissions to act. No identity politics are required to find Trump to be one of the most immoral and dangerous figures to hold a major public office in recent history. Charles Dickens said of Henry VIII: "The plain truth is that he was a most intolerable ruffian, a disgrace to human nature, and a blot of blood and grease upon the History of England", and those words can be adapted for Trump and the USA.
I have no idea if CNN have a reliable mole (or Deep Throat) in the White House on whose narrative they can safely base this story. I hope that they do -

I add that it would arguably be better for Trump to attempt to pardon himself and/or one or more of his children and/or Kushner because doing so would allow for a ruling by SCOTUS as to the legality of such a pardon, and Trump could not guarantee that the Court would divide on partisan lines on this issue. The nemo judex rule is so well embedded in legal thinking that, if I had to call the vote on that, I would expect to see Roberts and Gorsuch and quite possibly Barrett aligning with the three liberal justices on the point.
I get the impression that the wind has left Trump's sails. For the first time in his disgraceful life of cheating with impunity, he faces consequences for his myriad wrongdoings. I still expect him to escape jail, and to die still surrounded by the trappings of trashy wealth, but he will I think be a much reduced figure. I think that he is finished as a political force.

You’ve got this totally back to front IME of this thread. For years people have defended Trump on the basis he is on the right of politics, and were particularly harsh on Biden because they felt he was too vulnerable to the left of the Democratic Party.
It was pointed out to those people by people on this thread that Donald trump is not interested in anything other than Donald Trump, that he is an awful person regardless of your politics and that the ‘left’ of American politics would be considered to be central or nuestras issues in British politics (universal healthcare for example).
Even the GOP are cutting away at the rot now. That should tell you all you need to know, it’s really nothing to do with right vs left.
One day the truth will emerge...
The last four years were just a ploy by the career politicians to finally put to bed the 'Wouldn't the country be better run by a businessman' idea.
Both sides had their feathers severely ruffled by Ross Perot's run for president. Fearful ever since of another one coming along, and sick to death of hearing on every doorstep, 'What this country needs is someone who's actually achieved something, not you lot with your snouts in the trough.', they hatched a plan; a plan so cunning it would kick that stupid notion into the weeds for good.
Could it really work?
Could the electorate be made to believe that they really would want a career politician to run the country again?
For the plan to work they would need to find a household name; someone whom the reality TV viewers in their food stained Walmart-wear would point to and say, 'There's a businessman!' But, and here's the big but, beneath the veneer he would need to have all the deplorable attributes of a politician... but ten times over.
Where on earth would they find such an individual?
Then one of the party minions happened to watch a re-run of the Simpsons...

Bannon getting in before the buzzer?!
Why is it that most of these characters that suck up to Trump (including the Almighty Orange himself) look so utterly repulsive? Picture of Dorian Gray come to life (minus any of them ever having been lookers).
edited to add: Oddly enough, Steve Bannon wasn’t a bad looking chap before he started riding the devil’s coattails!
