Well obviously. Because they don't expect for a second for this to happen; the letter isn't aimed at the Georgia government. It's aimed at the Trump Faithful base so that they can continue the grift and ask them for funds to fight the fraud in Georgia.

Two Republican campaign operatives have been charged with funnelling money from the russians to trump and the GOP on 2016

Jesse Benton, 43, and Doug Wead, 75 have plead not guilty to six felony charges. The charging document also shopws they accepted $100,000 from an unidentified Russian to organise a meeting with trump at the Philadelphia rally event on 22 Sept 2016.

The Daily Beast is reporting that in 2019 Mark Zuckerberg and Jared Kushner allegedly struck a deal to allow fictional right wing propaganda to be freely posted on Facebook during the 2020 election without any fact checking intervention. In exchange trump would rescind his threats to impose strict government regulations against Facebook.
