I wonder who will take up the role of insulting just about everybody if he doesn't make it
As an aside, it appears Harry has a private jet on standby to come over to see him. Luckily, as a Royal, he doesn't have to quarantine and will be allowed to visit him in hospital if that's where he is.

In this particular case I would have zero issues whatsoever with family members travelling to his bedside! As an aside, it appears Harry has a private jet on standby to come over to see him. Private plane with no contact with others, a lot safer than all the people still travelling in and out of the country on regular passenger flights. Also it's a private hospital that has different rules. As an aside, it appears Harry has a private jet on standby to come over to see him. I actually met him very briefly about twenty years ago at a DofE awards ceremony. He didn't disappoint.... Because the award had been going on for quite some time he asked if any of the parents in attendance had done the award. One lady put her hand up to say she had so he asked which one she'd done. The award is in three categories of bronze, silver and gold. She said she'd done the bronze award to which Phillip replied that it was "better than nothing I suppose". Which did make everyone laugh.
He's obviously pretty old fashioned but then he is pretty ancient and a member of the Royal Family so what would you expect?

I’ve got a niggling feeling it’s rather more serious than the media is letting on, first a “brief” overnight stay has turned into days and now into next week.
I saw a brief clip earlier of Charles entering the hospital, there was just something about his facial expression/body language that gave me a slight shiver.
I do hope however it’s nothing serious and that the Duke recovers swiftly.

Let’s not forget that Philip, a member of the Greek Royal family was a decorated War hero who was mentioned in dispatches during the battle of Matapan, served in the Royal Navy in the Med, took part in the invasion of Sicily and then went to the Far East to fight the Japs
He’s one of the few WW2 veterans left, a career Naval officer who gave up his career for his wife who he has supported for decades
I for one, which him a speedy recovery

Always has come across as a talented selfless chap, I think his sense of humour is brilliant. I wish him a speedy recovery too. He’s one of the few WW2 veterans left, a career Naval officer who gave up his career for his wife who he has supported for decades

Sadly, a speedy recovery is unlikely, and an improvement is likely to be temporary. He’s one of the few WW2 veterans left, a career Naval officer who gave up his career for his wife who he has supported for decades

That is just the odds, going into hospital in your nineties.
