New car day. Golf R coming to the end of its finance term so looked at alternatives, the ‘baby’ Amg had a great deal, not least as none seem to be built so some old stock.

I bought it thinking it would be very similar to the Golf R and on paper it seems to be. First drive though and it seems incredibly alert, quick off the line and made the Golf feel sluggish.

C63 must be a real monster but very pleased so far. Expected a posh golf but got a nice surprisesmile

I have one as my daily, it's a nice car and fits the bill perfectly.

Be interested to know what sort of deal you got, mine is 2019 with 16k miles, but I'd definitely consider replacing with a new one at the right place, as I just can't warm to the prospect of its hybrid/4 cylinder replacement.

I had asked for quotes on new cars and was advised that no more new ones were being built. The one I have was built last year but with 20% off list.

Very happy with it and got the drive at mercedes world booked in. Thinking about a C63 as the next one but would not want a 4 pot electric either so hopefully still a v8 in a few years time.

I've just bought one of these as well, but an older 2017 model. Collecting on Thursday. Slightly anxious as all my cars for the last 10 years have been BMW so I'm slightly nervous about change!

Hope you like it.

After a few weeks it seems far more mature than the Golf and relatively economical on a long run. Feels like it would cruise forever at 70 and really comfortable.

A baby AMG would be an A 35 smile

Very true about the a. A lot of my research on the C43 in reviews called it the baby Amg c class and questioned whether it was a valid use of AMG.

I don’t know whether it is or not but it feels quicker than my old supercharged Monaro.

I am a very happy owner of a C63S coupe and had a really tough time deciding between the C43 and the C63.

On paper the C63 is a faster car but in the real world with bad roads, rain, ice etc etc I bet the C43 is faster! You will get better fuel economy in the C43 and if you have the performance exhaust it sounds amazing.

For me the wide body on the coupe sold it to me, the C63 coupe looks so much more aggressive than the C43 coupe. If I was buying a wagon or the saloon I probably would have got the C43! Great choice in cars and happy motoring!

Love my 2017 one
Premium Plus with the bucket seats
Its a great all round car especially with MPS4S tyres on
Loads of grip in all conditions and low speed high lock crabbing
Hunt out one with the factory PE exhaust as well
