Proposing cutting the bottoms off firedoors before some otherworldly genius told them to try wedges is always memorable. Best COVID memory had to be clearing patients from hospitals into carehomes without testing them for the then-incurable new virus that was really bad for the elderly, absolute masterstroke.

And being quite pleased about it.

Well here's a list of things that never got a mention in her speech yesterday. Baby boxes though eh, that's an incredible legacy, 8 years
and that's the pinnacle of your achievement. A failure of colossal proportions. Guttersnipe.

Scottish government is in turmoil, outgoing leader has left a legacy of failure and disaster.
New potential leader is a soggy piece of cardboard.
Under police investigation for missing money.

Snp defender pipes up to state having the big ferry on the run up to tourist season being broken, isn’t a big deal…

Nicely side stepping the bonfire that is the snp to stamp on an ember and declare everything is fine.
and in true SNP style setting his foot on fire in the process.

I will bet many pounds to charity that Edinburger and his few cohorts will not individually address and respond to this post with any actual factual context whatsoever other than admitting Sturgeon has lied...

She's going to need a tombstone the size of her ego so the monumental mason has room to inscribe her legacy.

Our resident Sturgeon sycophant has named his car after her and even painted it in her favourite colour too. Awww, how sweet.

I enjoyed the lack of logic of having all the shops shut for months, and then deciding to open them without masks being required for one week, then requiring masks the following week. rotate
And don't forget if you were at a club dancing was ok without a mask but you needed one to go to the toilet, madness, it's pretty well established now that masks were ineffective, never stopped control freak Sturgeon forcing them on us, as said don't let the door hit you on the way out you little dictator

Amazing how Scots vote for the SNP. Maybe they like politicians running every aspect of their lives imposing more and more controls. Saw it during Covid Sturgeon loved it. Will end up like North Korea !
Can you explain this? Were there no restrictions in other parts of the UK during Covid?

Why do you think the Scottish Government is more restrictive, or how are they "running every aspect of our lives imposing more and more controls"?

Genuine question.
OK Scotlland has a dodgy relationship with alcohol I agree, but when I get up early to do my Xmas food shop I would like to include the wine too, but no, Nanny State SNP says I can't, and try getting a meal after 8.30 in Scotland if you have kids...aye you can't. If that happened in France they would be burning tractors under the Eiffel Tower. Oh and not to mention the MUP, latest stats show that as a complete waste of time too, only a couple of examples of the dictatorship we have endured under Sturgeon

Let’s all join together and wish the most disastrous and self serving beaatch who single handed destroyed this country a happy retirement and hope that justice prevails and this disgusting pervert spends the rest of her life in jail. The most reprehensible and disgusting charlatan to ever grace modern politics has destroyed a once proud country into a rainbow flagged harem of political disgrace.

Leitch admits Covid patient transfers to care homes 'caused harm'.

He says 'in hindsight'.

IIRC I was in here saying it would cause harm in advance of Jeanne Freeman's dictats being implemented (that she threatened care-homes with legal action if they didn't carry out, then rescinded two week later and expunged from ScotGov records to replace them with UK consistent guidelines after the damage had been done).

It is proving to be a classic example of ScotGov wanting to be seen to be more decisive and therefor more caring, but their ignorant zeal went too far.

I also recall our indy defenders, including Edinburger, telling me I was wrong in my assessment. I expect no apologies from them, but the next time he calls my contempt and disdain for his callous inconsideration 'bullying' please excuse me if I remind him of the above.

The blind-faith shown to Sturgeon and her acolytes by some contributors in this thread is the one thing that we can all agree in hindsight was a mistake, especially in the light of recent revelations uncovering the fundamental dishonesty and narcissism of the players involved.

That article has some quite reasonable comments from Prof. Leitch, but the increased risk to the elderly had already been observed before the discharges into care homes. Perhaps gynaecologists aren't the best CMO's to have during a pandemic, especially ones who think the rules are for the little people.

Jesus Edinburger. Selective memory is it? Don't you remember when sturgeon effectively cancelled Hogmanay while England continued as normal?

https://www.forbes.com/sites/guymartin/2021/12/29/...

Not only was this clear one upmanship for the sake of it. But it cost the Scottish economy dearly while having proved to be ultimately pointless as Scotland had a much higher COVID rate after new year than England dispite the additional controls on our lives. There's your example, you lived through it and conveniently forgot. Seems like you're emulating sturgeons selective memory as well.

"The party is in real danger of losing its hard fought reputation for competence. Across a range of devolved subjects, its performance has been poor,"

A bit late? That competence boat sailed long ago. But otherwise a good article full of home truths. Including the fact Nippy,s election wins were due to the 45,% Indy vote left to her by Salmond. Not anything she did.

Mods feel free to put this in the Sean Connery joke thread if more appropriate.

So who's gonna be clapping then?biggrin. Check the heavily photoshopped image, she probably believes she actually looks like that.

Just for clarity she really really doesn't. hehe

The reality for anyone unfamiliar....

Summed up as
Removing civil liberties
Detesting a quarter of Scots
Allowing male rapists in female jails
Making no progress on indy in 8 years.

Go Nippy!
