Like him or want him gone . . .

He’s lasted to volume 8 which is longer than many of us thought. hehe

Anyone want to start the thread with predictions about how long he’ll last?

Hopefully not until volume 9.

Stories of "Operation Save Big Dog" where apparently he's drawing up a list of officials who will resign in a bid to save him.

He's lied to the country he's lied to Parliament and No 10 have had to apologise to the Queen for partying the night before she sat alone whilst her husband was being buried.

How anyone can look at what's gone on and still stick up for him is absolutely beyond me.

Disgusting.

I suspect he will stay until after the May local elections. The Tory will lose a lot of seats in local councils and then the new incumbent can blame it all on Johnson

Due to the number of parties held there 10 Downing Street is to be renamed Downing 10 Street.

He’s only lasted to Volume 8 because of the sheer volume of people complaining about what a twunt he is.

Operation Save Big Dog is hilarious and sad in equal measure - the media were reporting it whilst the very first meeting was apparently taking place. I would have thought Operation Plumber - Fix Those Leaks would be more urgently required!

Has he *really* called it this? And is this *really* the intent?

Where is this detail coming from?

Operation Desert st Storm.

I have to say I do enjoy Boris' faux military delusions.
"War footing, enlisting people, TA of the NHS, blah blah blah".
Definitely something amiss with the bloke

I am not sure if it’s press speculation or whether it is a real thing!

The fact that we aren’t sure, says it all. That said, given what has been said about Johnson even from a young age, it would not surprise me.

Allegedly this was written

Writing of him in a school report in April 1982, he said: “Boris really has adopted a disgracefully cavalier attitude to his classical studies . . . Boris sometimes seems affronted when criticised for what amounts to a gross failure of responsibility (and surprised at the same time that he was not appointed Captain of the School for next half): I think he honestly believes that it is churlish of us not to regard him as an exception, one who should be free of the network of obligation which binds everyone else.”

It was on the telly yesterday evening - can’t recall which channel but a female reporter stood outside saying that Operation Save Big Dog was underway at that very moment. Now what the detail is nobody really knows but reporters normally have some credible source even if they do embellish details. What stunned me is that it had obviously been leaked before the first meeting had either taken place or finished.

Brexit becoming all consuming really wasn't anything to do with the current administration. It was down to Cameron running for the hills and May/Robbins making a proper horlicks of it. And, to give even them some benefit of the doubt, the whole of the house of commons failing. Irrespective of side, the electorate were fed up with it.

The problem with the hypothetical situation you set is that it is hypothetical. Such a person did not exist. I don't think such a person exists still (I'd be voting for them immediately if they did smile). Though maybe, just maybe, one might surface at some point soon (I'm not holding my breath).

I disagree with what he and Sunak are doing on "tax and spend", but the unforeseen headaches that the pandemic presented precipitated this IMO. I'm not sure it would have happened like it is in "normal" circumstances, but that's a hypothetical test too smile Whilst I disagree (strongly) with our chancellor's moves, the one consolation is that I think other colour governments would have gone further down the same rabbit holes. Still not happy though.

The green agenda is definitely something left field in the way he's picked up on it. Again, something I disagree with heavily, especially with all the other st hitting the fan right now.

The party is definitely harmed. I believe Brexit damaged all three of the main national parties. Politics splintered across non-traditional party lines and all the politicians of all colours have tried to do is stick themselves back together again as if the fracture never happened. Brexit highlighted clearer than anything ever has that we don't actually have an electorate that thinks across two main party views. The two big parties breaking up during the May debacle would have been the best answer in many respects, IMO, and it's something that might yet happen at some point.

I don't think the leaks are that surprising.

Downing Street Staff Feel Dejected By Boris Johnson’s Party Defence

The Government have been happy to use them when it suits to gauge public reaction to proposed announcements.

Loyalty is a two way street and if you were one of those who may be sacrificed at the altar of Johnson would you feel much loyalty?

Ah, it makes sense now.
Operation Big Dog - he's likening himself to an English Mastiff.
Widely regarded to be dim witted and stubborn.
Slow to react. Not exactly a looker. They leave lots of st behind ...
