I agree on the imagery in handcuffs, I think that.. then somehow getting off on the charges will embolden the base.

I presume he doesn't want to do the perp walk out of court and into a cell though. You know, reality, as opposed to what's going on in his dirty turnip head.

If Trump were to be arrested, would he even be held?

Surely they'd just take him in, book him (mugshot, fingerprints, riot act, et al.) then released on his own recognisance. For all intents and purposes a formal issuing of charges with a bit of theatre.

Worst case scenario, bond will be posted within seconds? Surely he won't be thrown into lockup like a common toad.

He might not be as rich as he says, buts he's still rich.

Released on his own recognises, etc.

Might have a cheeky "do not leave NY without permission" attached to it though- but he'd only make hay with that, "they're preventing me from campaigning, etc"

If/when he does appear before a judge, I'd give it under five minutes before he goes full mental Ronnie Pickering and gets contempt of court added to the charge sheet...

In later years, academics reviewing some of Trump's worst misjudgements will come to a consensus that his failure to foresee the use of a GAU-8 30mm cannon at point-blank range was probably his worst, and last, mistake.

LOL at the CGI, like trump would ever put up a struggle. Despite his claims of running in to stop shooters etc, he's a coward, hence his hiding in the WH bunker, huge barriers put around the WH and the guard when the BLM protests were on, his huge violent clearing of protestors for his bible photo op, Cadet Bone Spurs hasn't the will to do anything like that.

DC Circuit making unbelievably quick work rejecting Trump's challenge to the district court order requiring Evan Corcoran to testify and to turn over docs and his "transcriptions of personal audio recordings." As I've said, this evidence will be huge which is why trump didn't want it to come out. Judge didn't want to give trump any of his delay tactics which is why it moved so quickly.

As for his Manhatten DA arrest - it was only trump giving timelines to whip up his faithful. There's been nothing from the DA. It has however identified the few usual GOP suspects still willing to support him - those involved in his insurrection or heavily pushed his big lie.


Another thought for the quick turnaround in court - wonder if they think trump is a flight risk?
