If Trump does end up bankrupt is he actually able to live permanently in Maralago?

There was a limitation on that property that restricted the amount of time it could be stayed in.
There was as part of planning etc.

The issue was it applied to members and guests it seems but Trump’s lawyers successfully argued that he was an employee from memory and the limits didn’t apply to staff.

I believe I also read on Twitter that This property would be exempt as it was his and his family’s main residence - could be and probably are, very wrong on that last point?

Byker? We follow some mutual Twitter threads?

To be honest, I’m not sure.
There was indeed a restriction on time.
However, should he be reading this thread, I’m happy to put him up.

£1500 a day, though. And I’ll protect him not.

Exactly that. Palm Beach town officials agreed with trumps lawyers and not the locals who had objected as they sucessfully argued trump was an employee.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2021/05/...

That though then puts the whole magalago is his home and can't be seized in asset forfeiture, because it's now his place of work...

He did however lose his helipad.

You know he won't pay you...
Donald Trump has only $93 million in cash left, according to Forbes. His properties are all indebted., and the trumps could apparently owe somewhere between $100-300m in back taxes, restitution, and penalties, and that’s just in the NY AG civil case.

Looks like the DOJ have moved onto those issuing threats against election workers after trump lost, aprt of the work of the Justice Department’s Election Threats Task Force. This is the second DOJ charge in whats claimed is around 850 threats against election workers being investigated.

Gjergi Luke Juncaj made 4 threatening phone calls, faces upto 2 years in jail for each.

Michael Avenatti is back in court again today as well, with Stormy being called as a witness.
Thread here:

Wonder if we get to co-conspirator individual #1?
Avenatti swindled Stormy out of the money from her book
https://twitter.com/KlasfeldReports/status/1486790...

Avenatti is doing his own defence?
Q: Ms. Daniels, how was I supposed to get paid for all of the work that I and my law firm did for you for all of the 12 months?
A: From the legal defense fund and the winnings against Donald Trump.

To be honest, as much as I want Trump to spend the rest of his days inside, I’m wondering whether I may get more epicaricacy from Gaetz ending his on a segregated wing….
The DOJ has full cooperation from three of Matt Gaetz’s alleged co-conspirators. Quite interesting that they didn't just go with Joel Greenberg's testimony and statements when he gave evidence against everyone, but instead used it to pressure Gaetz’s ex-girlfriend and Joe Ellicott to also verify Greenbergs statements and testify to the grand jury
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/01/12/politics/matt-g...

Elliot testified that he heard Joel Greenbergs phone call to Gaetz telling him he'd had sex with an underage girl.

Edit: Also watch this as it's explained that the prosecutors don't want their key witnesses to just be Joel Greenberg, who is a walking criminal enterprise, and the then 17-year-old girl, who lied about her age, and had a profile on SeekingArangements.com, and then became an adult film star.

The key witness here is the ex-girlfriend, who has no ax to grind with Matt Gaetz. They had an open relationship. She doesn't have major credibility issues. She used to be a Capitol Hill staffer

Someone should get Jnr some help. He's desperately tweeting these days about Biden, how he shouldn't get to pick a judge, went on Hannity to say Ukraine were calling in favours from Biden in a quid pro quo to stop details about Hunter...

Nope Jnr, that was your daddy manufacturing that, and being impeached over it

An interesting thread on twitter from Huffpost WH correspondent pointing out Pence actively stopped trumps plan to use fake certificates and votes, to specifically rule out accepting the "alternate" electors.
https://twitter.com/svdate/status/1486866797827657...

Now who came up with that for Pence? We know from the book Peril by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa that Pence sought the advice of Dan Quayle

Having reread that bit again, I'm also reminded that it also says that Bannon said on 30 Dec. “We’re going to bury Biden on January 6th, fking bury him.”

Mind you, the best bit in the book is when it says that when Pence told trump he wouldn't do what he wanted trump began to shout. “No, no, no! You don’t understand, Mike. You can do this. I don’t want to be your friend anymore if you don’t do this,” said Trump, who, by chronology, is an adult.

I think he might have tried to sound intimidating like a gangster/mafia boss with the "dontcha wannabe friends no more" thing.

But he can't pull it off and ends up sounding like an overgrown toddler.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced he'd raised $2.8m from donors, but because of a 'technical problem' couldn't say where $2.1m came from...
...including who paid up to $50,000 to rub elbows with Paxton and trump at a fundraiser in December at magalago. Entry started at $1000

Election lies made in Michigan by trumps lawyers ended up in the draft executive order directing the military to seize voting machines nationally.
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says she's shared that info with the trump insurrection investigation.

She also raised that Powell appeared to access a report that was supposed to be under seal, detailing debunked election fraud claims in Antrim County, Michigan, because Powell included it in a filing to the US Supreme Court as part of trump lawsuits.

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/01/26/politics/michig...

Remember those lawsuits were all designed not to win, but to place doubt on the results and give Pence another excuse to throw out 7 states making trump the winner

+1

Don’t contribute to this thread but it is my go to source for what’s happening over the pond and check in every morning on my commute to work (Byker starts early!) and usually end up down some rabbit hole when links are provided.

It is really a one stop shop for all things Trump.
