Than who? I’m 59 and sailed through it a few months back without being vaccinated (well, one AZ dose back in the early days).

As has been stated many times on here, the virus is no longer particularly virulent unless you’re very old or vulnerable.
Well that's all right then. Might as well close the thread here.
But that is the point though - is the cure worse than the disease? The stats demonstrate that the virus does discriminate and that the old and vulnerable are more severely affected, the same as quite a few other illness and viruses.

People should take responsibility for their own circumstances and take action as a appropriate- one size does not fit all. So to ask the young to take the same actions as the old really doesn’t make sense, and never did.

Lol yup. She'd agree that I'm not right. Up to the point when something needs done when most of her family phone Rog as I get things done but I'd still dance with another if I saw them standing there and she'd still do a better job of flirting than I could ever hope to do so that's not saying much,.

Now, suggest she might not make G N' R tomorrow due to covid and you'll find what happens when one of life's nice people get angry.

You’re Crazy. It’s So Easy. Say to her Don’t Cry, have Patience, you don’t want a Civil War. You don’t want to be Estranged. Live and Let Die.

(I’m sure there are more)

Lol, superb and thanks for making me laugh.

I don't have an appetite for destruction and certainly don't want to start a civil war.

Sounds very much like what I felt when I had flu back in the day. Difference was that I couldn’t get out of bed for 4 days let alone go to work.

Did you take a test to know it was covid?

Hope that you fell fully better soon.
Had a box of emergency tests, took 2 tests and both positive.

Now is a good time for us to sort our productivity/economy out whilst they are crippling theirs. Start to break the dependence

No point letting them drag us down and ruin our economy any more …. Which I’m sure is their aim

Looks like the updated booster is getting closer. And hey - let's double the dose, eh? Although sadly it appears to already be out of date

And importantly, preliminary lab studies show the tweaked shots also produce antibodies capable of fighting omicron’s genetically distinct relatives named BA.4 and BA.5, although those levels weren’t nearly as high
Also appears to be something in the works to bypass clinical trials

for booster shots based on approved covid vaccines, i think its a good idea.

the linked article compares it to the flu vaccine and i stopped reading it at that point.

With no clinical trial, how do we know they are safe and effective? Even taking "safe" as a given (Ha!), what about the effacy?

Thoughts on doubling the dose? A Good Thing? (My concern would be - in particular - 18-24 males and myocarditis. See yesterday for a graph of 2020 vs 2021 and 2022 myocarditis incidents which seems to debunk covid being the cause of myocarditis)

We need to be told by a compliant media that these new shots are 95% effective in CT, goddammit! Worked last time whistle

The covid hysteric is very much alive in NHS settings.

Currently sat outside whilst the other half is waiting inside for an appointment. I was told very clearly I wasn’t allowed to wait with her. Waiting area is a 10% capacity with seats littered with ‘do not sit here, social distancing’ etc signs.

Screens up at every opportunity, very grumpy lady on reception telling people they MUST wear masks, despite not wearing one herself. Keep our staff safe signs taking up any inch of spare wall space.

Side note. The parking is bloody expensive too.

It seems to vary a great deal depending on location. My local hospital (the QA in Portsmouth) were indeed hysterical about covid, demanding mask wearing - I mean, literally yelling at me because I wasn't wearing one - until recently, when they appear to have calmed down. My GP practice asks nicely if I could wear one, but when I say "No thanks, I'm fine" they just smile and say "OK, fine". And my mother's GP practice don't seem bothered at all. I'm told that some Specsavers branches insist on masks while others do not.

Gotta laugh at all his supportive comments. hehe

Yet again loads of people saying the only ones going down with it at the moment are the jabbed. Reading that a lot.
