If ever there was a massive scandal at Twitter would it be called Elongate?

Funny you should say that

Musk claimed Jacob Chansley (Qanon Shamon) should be freed and there was a cover up of video that the government didn't want to be seen, except that it was filed as part of his court case by Chansleys lawyer in May 2021.

Fully embraced maga, hence his agenda.
We already know he's a liar, he's lied about several things including his dead son

Well it is true that China has his balls in a very tight grasp, based on the terms his Shanghai factory was built on and all the funds that are stuck there.

They could make his life very difficult very quickly if they felt like it. And have shown him that at times with brief state media campaigns. And he has at times shown a great willingness to publicly show his loyalty.

true.

Bannon's continued his spate with Musk, this could run and run.

and Bannon on his podcast claimed that when Musk was cut off from govt subsidies “he went begging the CCP, that’s why they have the joint venture. This guy lives on govt contracts and taxpayer subsidies. You’re not even an American, all you are is a globalist. You would take a check from Adolph Hitler.”
https://twitter.com/i/status/1634586282713141248

Obviously Bannon has frequently ignored or glossed over he does much the same, relying on Guo Wengui money

The muskateers aren't sure now who to believe, there seems to be a similar intersection between Bannon supporters and muskateers - says a lot

You might not but the muskateer faithful intermix with the Maga/Qanon conspiracy crown that Musk is trying to pander to currently, that Bannon also tries to influence/grift from.

One of the high priests of the MAGA cult.

Ahh, thanks.
The only people like that i am familiar with is the infowars guy and the shaman chap, mainly because they became memes. IMO, if old Elon is arguing with a MAGA type, that goes in Elons favour not against him. From an unscientific survey of "i didn't watch it but..." , i think that it's safe to take the opposing side of any argument that infowars chap or Joe rogan is presenting, on the assumption they'll be spouting unsubstantiated bilge as per usual! If bannon is cut of the same cloth, i'm happy to side against him without needing to give him any incremental ad revenue by actually clicking on his site smile

I think you've misunderstood. Musk is parroting the same easily disproven right wing talking points as the rest of them.

The fact that Bannon and Musk are having a spat means two figures on the same side are going at it.

That new verification system that our fav muskateer said would be infallible and stop disinformation, is anything but.

Twitter accounts spread Russian propaganda on the Ohio train derailment, "using Elon Musk’s new verification system to expand their reach while creating the illusion of credibility."

https://apnews.com/article/ohio-train-derailment-r...

Same points pushed by some in the GOP as well, in trying to blame Biden.

Pretty please, cherry on top and everything, could you keep all the tedious Trump-era bks to your Trump thread?

No one else cares, as seen by the fact no bugger has bothered replying to this constant drip of detailed US politics dross since you started posting it in here.

FNG clearly not a fan of free speech. Musk would be shocked. Shocked I tell ya.

Lots of people care, and it’s about Elon. He’s the one that keeps begging Trump for attention. If you want the Trump stuff out of a thread about Elon then go ask Elon to stop begging Daddy Trump for affirmation.

I think in FNG's defence, his rant is because of a mistaken post in here rather than the trump thread, which was immediately deleted and put in the right thread. Obviously those 30 secs weren't quick enough for FNG.

Weird rant though, but if FNG wants to talk about trump, defend trump, there's a thread for that. wink

Meanwhile as this thread is about Musk and his purchase of twitter, his changes, the AP report that his verification doesn't stop disinformation just proves what many have said on here.

Weird that FNG doesn't want to comment on that

It'd be more interesting to mention (for example) that the Twitter press query email address now just responds with a single 'st' emoji. That sort of thing says a lot about the Saffer arse running the place.

The whole politics thing though is as tedious as Elon's attempts to be funny.

Have you seen people gaming it for humerous replies asking questions such as:
"How's Musks ownership of twitter going" etc

He's so utterly juvenile, and convinced he's funny.

Arse is exactly the right word.
