Nah SOL had his resprayed black at great cost to himself, he then sold it not long after.

The Autologix car was discussed on here a few or more weeks back. I like that one.

The last one, just don’t.

A manual Murci is still a much more modern car than an early 2wd Diablo, which has no abs, no traction control, no power steering, no lift.
But that also means less of those things to go wrong.
As always, drive your potential choices and usually you just know…….

A Murci doesn’t really sit between a Diablo and an AV SV or SVJ.

The latter are different. Brutal.
In a way that a Diablo or Murci is “just” a very fast car.

Dave is it? At pangbourne gets good mentions around the Murcielago, is it worth maybe paying him a visit?
He looks after mine.
I’d get him to do you report, if there’s one you think you want.

dave also gets to drive many different cars and gives an interesting insight into their relative merits

I’d recommend popping down to VVS. I’ve got a deposit down on one there. Great to deal with and a large stock to browse.

They’ve all been imported from Italy.

Not sure how I feel about the imports. I guess it depends on how the inspection goes and the general condition/history, as much as you can see. I would prefer a UK car if all other matters tied up similarly, though.

If history and condition is decent, then I don't see a problem. Singapore cars are usually very well looked after and pretty much have no mileage on them, they just sit in garages

Ive been looking all over europe the last 6 weeks and there seems little movement in the market vs other marques / models, so not much new choice coming on, is the Murci market like this generally?

They only made about 4,000 of them.

2000 in europe? I’d say only 40-50 are currently for sale in europe.. (inc. uk)

If you are only looking for lp640 then half that number again.

I tend to agree, personally i’m not bothered as long as the servicing checks out and can be validated and the BIG service items have been carried out.

Harder re-sale because of this foreign history has me a little concerned though, this particular model at the dealers has been hanging around for quite a while and its most likely because of this, as the condition of the car seems pretty good tbh.

I’m not sure going with a car just because theres nothing else that turns me on, is the right thing to do! the car i’m looking at i like, but the colour isnt first choice (silver) but there is a wrapping possibility, not sure..

When i was at VVS i saw a Huracan Performante and it really struck me, i’d never seen one up close and i thought it was pretty cool tbh.

Maybe a Hracan as an interim Lambo fix until the right Murci comes along?

I have a track car already but i could do some track work with this to, anyone run or have run both? Never had a V10, so this would be another box ticked…

I ended up changing course from Murci to Perf so can empathise.

Having said that, I have a Gallardo too so was getting a ‘modern’ Lambo fix with the Perf given the Gallardo is from roughly the same era as the Murci.

I think the Perf is one of the best looking Lambos this side of the century. It is also much more useable than a Murci could ever be even if you’re only looking to do 2K miles p.a. Only downside is it has less dimensions to its personality than the older Lambos have.

The Perf would make a great ‘bridge’ Lambo until you find a Murci worth buying. Only challenge is values have gone up dramatically just in the last few months so you may end up paying for a costly exit.

I’m intrigued Sir, what is your track car?

(My guess goes for a Radical, that would annihilate most road legal cars I think.)

If it was me, I’d just get it inspected by someone who works on these cars.

I’ve never really understood the value that people attach to service stamps from a long time ago.
What matters is what the car might need now; and then the rest is just luck.

i agree with this. i have had my murci maintained with the same indie every year for 6 years now and knows the car inside out and yet potential buyers become nervous over a few missed service/invoices 15 years ago and think its going to become a basket case. Spent 40k servicing and maintaining my murci in my 6 year ownership.
You just gotta find the one that is your colour/specced and wet your finger and stick in the air and go for it.
