Chasing why I have no starter or fuel pump prime and no clicking relays.
I’m not liking the look of all that bedding yikes
I don’t see any chewed wires as yet but this can’t be of much help.

Decided it’s time to replace dash veneer and found this little lot sat on the same lower dash shelf my ecu resides on.

So I have a Tvr friend ( Frank -Blaze away) who knows his onions coming over next week with his multi meter rather than me guess to try and get to the bottom of it.
One step back but maybe two steps forward if all goes well.
I seem to think this bedding came about when it was at my friends place laid up during Covid as once I’d taken the car from there over a year ago no blue roll was left in the car so unless the clever bd brought it with him this is old evidence,,,, I hope.
Of course a new tenant might have just utilised it but hopefully not.

I recently redid the veneer on my 350i. As the car is not super valuable, £400+ seemed a lot of money when there are other jobs much more urgent to spend money on so I did it with a roll of sticky back plastic burr walnut for £10.10 from China! It looks brilliant and unless you look closely, it would fool most people!!!

I am not suggesting you do the same, I just thought it was interesting!!

Thanks for the heads up and that does look good.
I dragged my body into an impossible position for many hours assisting Frank removing his pedal box.
I’m hoping in return he shows me how to make a new veneer Dash as he did his own and I was very impressed. thumbup

I think I’ll try and get it working first then worry about the wood grain. Bugger.
