I took yours as “here’s another one, and this time it’s not a Tory.” Ivan’s spin was quite different, that someone wanted to ignore it as it is about an SNP MP.
This, precisely.

There is a growing feeling that the UK media are treating the SNP with kid-gloves for a variety of reasons.

Firstly, because many political commentators are not paying enough attention to Scottish politics because they think it is a side issue and thus fail to understand that SNP mismanagement and corruption has been a significant drain on the whole of the UK's fiscal resources, plus the SNP's goal of secession would affect every UK citizen and compromise the British Isle's defence strategy for a significant time.

Secondly, parts of the media see the SNP as a benign proxy-opposition to the UK government outside of the toxic Labour/Conservative left/right factionalism.

Thirdly, some are actually fooled by the SNP's claims to be progressive.

For these reasons and more the SNP do act as if they are untouchable, to the extent that they do not just avoid answering awkward questions but they denigrate, insult and attack the questioners. This is why Sturgeon will respond to journalists by questioning their intelligence, and Blackford will defend a sex-pest from within their ranks and orchestrate a witch hunt against both the victim and the person or persons who sought to protect the victim's interests.

Grady should have been suspended immediately pending the investigation and suitably punished once the case was found against him. Pure and simple. Instead he was left in post (ironically as the person other potential victims of sexual harassment and bullying within the SNP would be expected to report the incidents to), and despite the allegations subsequently being proven against him was positively lauded by his boss, which taints the chracter and judgement of both of them.

We're not talking wallpaper and cake here (or beer and curry for that matter) - this was unlawful touching and physical contact with a junior employee who the offender had managerial control over.

It is way past time people started looking at the SNP cabal with the same level of scrutiny they would give Starmer/Rayner/Johnson/Shapps etc. etc.

The two day suspension thing is a piss take and the guy should be nowhere near politics IMO let alone left alone near junior staff.

But I'm not sure I'd expect to see it all over the nationwide press and I don't see that down to some sort of "letting them off the hook" so much as it just not being national news.

I'd hope and expect the Scottish press to be all over it.

Yes. Unlike Sturgeon not everyone is intelligent enough to realise that "given" actually means "offered " in the context of failed targets.

We are indeed fortunate to have such an intelligent leader. Long live Nicola!

Pesky journalists should keep their awkward questions to themselves. Don't they know there is a referendum next year?

I fear you may need to lower your expectations of the Scottish press. All cravenly beholden to the SNP. Journalists here rarely dare to put their heads above the parapet, for fear of the party machine and it's hordes of devout followers taking issue & harassing them out of their roles. Sarah Smith was a victim of this, more recently Kaye Adams was targeted as a 'Yoon' for questioning the Dear Leader about her referendum promises. Stephen Daisley is a favourite target for their anger. Andrew Neil endured the joyous SNP treatment but laughed it off. It's vanishingly rare that a Scottish news source will undertake genuinely investigative journalism, or apply any form of meaningful scrutiny to the SNP hegemony. There's a reason that our local TV franchise is known as SNPTV. The Chief Mammy is given free rein, her press conferences are hand picked tame journos, anyone asking hard questions tends not to get invited back. She's the Scottish Trump.

I liked that thanks for linking it
I really can't stand Blackford he reminds me of people i have had to do business with in earlier years
Slimy glory seeking blame averting
Did you see at the start where he prattles on about being proud to have been part of setting up some parliamerntary watch dog or whatever
Then being told to answer the question

He's a UK MP, this happened in London and the issue you have with the story is it's reported on in the UK and London press?

That isn't what I said.

Evercross suggested the UK media are treating the SNP with kid gloves and what I said is I'm not sure I'd expect it to be all over the national media but I would expect to see it all over the Scottish media.

I don't think that's controversial.

Is the Scottish Herald an exception, because they seem to allow comments on their articles and I don't see much support for Nicky Krankie and her cabal on there.

MP Patrick Grady quits SNP after being accused of sexual assault

Far from clear if he's jumped or pushed and whether it's temporary or permanent.

So Patrick Grady doesn't think he's fit to represent the SNP but is fit to represent the people of Glasgow North?

Rather stands morals/ethics on its head, surely?

Looks like the humble crofter Mr Blackford is starting to be attacked over the (miss) handling of this incident
