Just breaking, the US Supreme Court has overturned a 1973 ruling guaranteeing nationwide abortion rights. The decision means millions of women across the US could soon lose their legal right to abortion.

Yay, more unwanted children to be massacred in schools, the Supreme Court is a partisan joke.

This, sadly.

It's like they are sliding further back in time with each major decision.

I mean, if its what they want, then fair enough. Their gaff, their rules, but it all just seems very regressive and divisive.

Very sad to hear. Land of the free and home of the brave. Unless you’re a woman.

You do have to wonder what the next target would be. Same sex marriage / relationships and contraception have been mentioned in one of the judges concurring remarks..

They seem to be looking to the Taliban model for women’s rights.

Some will view it as protecting the rights of the unborn child.

Some will view it as removing the rights of the mother.

The two are unlikely to ever agree.

It's awful to see a country going down the path the U.S. is, but ultimately people are getting what they voted for.

What a backwards country. They can't do anything about kids getting shot in schools, but they can manage to do this.

If that's what the majority wishes, and it probably doesn't, then so be it.

As long as the US doesn't reduce the distance across the Atlantic I wish them all the luck in the world for their return to medieval times.

And I wonder what happens for those from Taliban areas who want to access the states that will still allow it.

Not really, but I think you know that.
