This comment needs greater thought. A woman is born with a large number of potential human beings inside her in the form of eggs.
So when she is born she never really owns her own body because we always have to keep in mind she is carrying potential non sentient life inside her?

I suggest you need to rethink your view of when a life has rights.

I support the Philip K Dick view of abortion being valid up to 12 yrs old. That would weed out a lot of dead wood.

I don’t think Rufus the doofus does much thinking.

It comes down to when someone believes life starts and when rights to that life are bestowed. An egg is just an egg until fertilised.

As i said, the two sides will never agree.

A lot of this sits with the Mississippi case, which requires that after 15 weeks, only severe foetal abnormalities allow for an abortion.

Rape and incest are not exclusions.

So, if dad rapes you in Mississippi, the state makes you go full term.

This is where SCOTUS wants to head. This is what SCOTUS endorsed today.

fking barbaric.

What a backwards country. They can't do anything about kids getting shot in schools, but they can manage to do this.
Agreed.

Infringing woman's rights to protect something not living, but won't do anything about school shootings because it infringes people's rights.

Guns appear to have more rights than half the population now.

It was inevitable after RBG died and they put that alleged alcoholic rapist into the scotus

This is why I never had any time for people who were amused at trump getting elected. I knew if that ever came to pass America would be monumentally fked, and I am not at all pleased to have been right.

“My body my choice” disappeared last year. I wonder how many of those dismayed at this result cheered on the sacking of those who didn’t desire the injections that were and continue to be pushed?

I'll suggest a definition- until a foetus is capable of independent life then it's just another part of the mother's body & she has the right to decide. After that point it's up for debate.

That really is the bottom line for me, if you choose to have consensual sex but take a chance and don't use contraception, I think there really is a compelling argument to question whether it is right to terminate the potential foetus (I am firmly pro-choice by the way).

If you are raped however then the woman never consented in the first place and it is totally wrong to compel her to have the child. Saying "oh by the Sky Fairy must have willed it, and we cannot question the Sky Fairy" is just retarded.

Always thought I would like to live in the US but as the father of two girls, I am so glad that I live in the UK.

FFS!

Yeah, because being vaccinated is exactly the same as being forced to incubate and give birth to a child conceived by rape.

Yes, probably best not to get sucked into that sort of utter baffonery and ruin the thread...

Who said it’s exactly the same? confused

“My body my choice” no longer exists. Last year was the start of a slippy road.
