Some of you need to have a read of current abortion rules to understand that both extremes of the argument are wrong.
Some of you are looking as deluded, simple minded and absolutist as those idiots on the religious right are.
No, one 'extreme' of the argument is 'mind your own business and stay out of it, it has nothing to do with you' and there's nothing in the existing law that has any impact on that. Some of you are looking as deluded, simple minded and absolutist as those idiots on the religious right are.

How sad is that.InitialDave said:
Well, good luck with that, the maternal mortality rate in the US is obscene, and this is only going to make it worse.
That is shocking. It's almost unbelievable. In fact, no offence Dave, I had to check. More than the utterly obscene gun laws and the political/religious war on women, that is something they should be ashamed of. My views on abortion rights are complex. I have a granddaughter who was born at a couple of days short of 28 weeks. She was perfect; just small. I'm now conflicted with regards to abortion timing. Secondly, my wife fell for our fourth when she was 40. On the day we received confirmation by the GP, she was sent to a clinic for advice. It was an abortion clinic. My wife felt she was being pressured. When she had an amniocentesis, there was, she felt, an assumption that if anything was found amiss, she was expected to agree to an abortion. It was poorly done.
It is a shame that the same emphasis with regards the constitution is not applied to the keeping religion from having any part of the state as it is with regards to allowing them to play hard man with guns.

Like I give a stuff what you "think". At least not until you're prepared to answer the question I asked many pages ago.
Did you put think in quotation marks because you aren't clear what it means?Edited by Zumbruk on Sunday 26th June 11:13

Which is a terrible argument. Plenty of things are legislated and decided upon by people who are not impacted directly. That is nothing more than an attempt to shut down any discussion. The fact is that most people don’t want to have a reasonable discussion about a complex issue. They want a reductive argument where you are either right or wrong.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
