Any views on the Roma Spider? To me, the spider has lost the vey distinctive shape that defines the Roma. I am not sure why Ferrari has spent time and money developing this when surely they need to be looking at putting a hybrid power plant, as per the 296, into new models.

Don't generally like convertibles tbh but agree here particularly more so. The Roma to me is the most beautiful car Ferrari have made in decades (honourable mention for the F12) but the spider loses that unfortunately.

Hybrids in more cars will come and a cab seems a no brainer from a revenue perspective, lots of people don't share my feelings on cabs and I'm sure it'll sell well.

i've yet to see one in the metal, but possibly the best looking convertible on sale

looks poor value at twice the price of an f type or vantage

It’s not for me. Prefer the coupe

I think a Ferrari of any type is way more special than an ftype. Whilst they may compare on paper the comparison is irrelevant in the flesh. IMO

IMO the Portofino M is a far prettier 4 seater drophead and would be my choice every time. In producing the Roma spider are they dropping the Portofino?

I prefer the Roma, I find the "face" of the Portofino too smiley

The Roma Coupe is a stunning design. The spider takes away a lot of the swoopy curves of the Coupe IMO. As a drophead I much prefer the Portofino M. The Roma Spider might be filling a niche which wasn't there in the first place ?

So is the Roma Spider to replace the Portofino? Or are they still producing both?

Order books for Portofino M closed early 2022 and Roma S is a direct replacement on production line.
