Hi all,
Advise please?...

My roadster is currently running on Pirelli Corsa Asymetrico is it tyres?
The ones where the front and rears have slightly different tread patterns.

Anyway, I need new rears but these tyres are not available now!... anywhere in the UK that I can find...

The only 'equivalent' are the Pirelli Corsa Rosso which are similiar but the 'comfort' version?

I am obviously concerned if the grip levels are the same front and back and will I ever notice?
I dont want to get a little enthusiastic, shall we say and lose the rear!...

Alternative being change all 4 tyres!... if so to what?

Would appreciate your advise

Thanks

Michelin Pilotsport 4 or the latest 5 if you can get them would be an upgrade in my opinion. Most seem to prefer these over much else although the Yokohama A052 are very highly rated.

I've put Michilin Pilot Sport 5 on the back with the original Pilot Sport 4 still on the front.

If you are concerned about having different tyres across each axle, then four new tyres are your only real option

If you aren't maxing it out on track, I don't think you would have anything to worry about on the road, with different tyres fore and aft, other than a niggling in the back of your mind.

The interweb according to Continental says: "For optimal safety and performance, we recommend fitting the same tyres to every wheel position on your car, so you should have the same brand, size, tread pattern, load index and speed rating on the front and rear tyres."

I’ve just put Michelin PS5’s on my 350, seem brilliant for road use

If you want a ultra high performance tyre.
I went Goodyear F1 Super sports, the standard fitment on the Emira, as it got a better write up than the PS4s as an everyday occasional track tyre
