Just a quick one here as not been able to find an answer to solve whats happening

basically internet browsing google chrome from PC,

news articles when clicking on the webpage it starts loading up but the fonts change on the sites to some very curly font and i carnt read the artices

google chrome browser settings - appearance - customise fonts all set to Arial apart from Fixed width font which is set to consolas ( not the curly font )

cannot think on what to do to stop this happening

any help appreciated

A bit brute force but disable javascript and reload the page.

Have you tried the site using incognito? If not, try it and see if the issue remains or not.

I've just had to fix this at my work. The problem is the Arial font displays as Arial Unicode which looks like garbage.

The fix in either Chrome or Edge...

Open the browser, click on Settings
Click on Appearance
Click on Customise Fonts
Change anything that mentions Arial (or everything) to Calibri

Restart your browser and Robert's your Auntie's husband

you mean Roberts my uncle teacher

joking aside tried that changed the font to something else and restarted still no differnt on some pages

ive resorted to F12 then down the styles and uncheck

body {
font-family: Roboto,sans-serif;

then the main article goes back to a font you can read, till i end up chucking this computer from the roof
