I would agree definite examples in the Abbott and Rayner threads, but someone asking where they got those clothes being misogynistic is classic white knighting.
I never said it was misogynistic.I said there's a cohort on here who get weird where women are concerned.

It's more about a repeated correlation between really odd 'peacock' hair colouring and weird dress sense and how it always seems to align with, shall we say, less than perfect moral behaviour that I think is the issue here.
It really isn't that difficult to understand.
Anyone who has "really odd 'peacock' hair colouring and weird dress sense" always seem to have "less than perfect moral behaviour".It really isn't that difficult to understand.
Bloody hell

Do some PHers have problems with women in power?
Perish the thought. There's never been anything posted in any of the threads on Abbott or Rayner or Haigh or Reeves to suggest anything of the sort.

We are a talking about a dislike of women in power, how would you define that in one word?I said there's a cohort on here who get weird where women are concerned.

Contrary to almost all of you, Kier has gone up in my estimation today. He has played a blinder with this one.
It’s a No 10 outfit operating as a No10 outfit should. Competent, efficient, ruthless. Be under no illusion about this, this has been a textbook assassination job by central office on their own and it’s cost them a mere smidgen of political capital. In fact it’s *bought* them some capital with the Press, as this has all the hallmarks of an officially sanctioned Press hit.
He’s, or someone with some operational clout, played this one well.
And it’s slid Rachel from Accounts into pg7 obscurity? Gosh, well that is a happy little side effect isn’t it? Well played all round.

Instead of allowing it to become a story for weeks with the inevitable result, its been killed at birth, or even deliberatly brought to the fore. Clearly see was an expendable. Her previous gaffes will have helped bring about her downfall. Sadly she failed to realise that she isnt in 6th form any more, and that words and actions have consequences when a government minister.
I suspect its also a warning shot for other, more childish ministers, to wind their necks in and start operating in a manner befitting the roles.
I'm not so sure this story has run it's full course just yet.
Story is moving on.
Claim is that it's an inside Labour party hit job courtesy Morgan McSweeney.
In tomorrow's Telegraph, make of that what you will. Alleged target on her back since the train driver's pay award, not cleared with Treasury, not cleared with No 10, rumours Starmer blindsided and only heard about it on the radio.
Then there was the war with P&O along with Angie.
Guardian still on the line that McSweeney told her to resign over the old spent fraud conviction.

That^^ article still subject to editing before publication tomorrow one might suspect, often the case.

There's nothing wrong with a woman using her maiden name as such, but it does suggest a certain kind of person. And what kind of a man is this Martin Ballantyne to permit such?

Just to add, the unions are fuming about it, regardless of why she was 'sacked'.
The unions are why she's there, as MP and as Minister. After all, as was pointed out she came from nowhere to drop into a supremely safe seat, then pretty much straight into shadow cabinet.
Then you realise her grandfather and uncle were Union grandees, she was a Unite shop steward and they fund her.
So of course they're fuming. The ironic bit being despite all that, she was privately educated!
Jesus wept, can some of you pack it the fk in just for once?!
Hit job by Morgan, gosh, I’m shocked. Just so that some ppl get how shocked I am, the news that the hit job was orchestrated by Morgan being leaked is also deliberate.
This is proper competent political management. About time. Let the weekend heavy broadsheets do their thing on her, then Monday brings a fresh news cycle and move on.
