Sounds like sexist jokes. Hardly crime of the century.

TX.
What century do you live in?
Lol I don't tell sexist jokes but it's hardly a Big Deal is it. Perhaps the people in the room should have told him direct at the time.

Nice attitude there.

Perhaps the people in the room didn't feel comfortable doing so.

There's often a power imbalance with things like this.

Plus it's not the responsibility of the complainant to confront the person they're complaining about.

Like I said had to course this week so it's kind of fresh in the mind.

That's the thing though isn't it, think it's funny to tell a fruity joke? Fair enough but know your audience.

Being offended by someone's sense of humour isn't grounds for them getting the sack but even by the woke BBC luvvies standards you've got to believe it's likely more than just an ill timed joke that's been complained about.

You seem surprised that different people have different views on things. The internet sounds like the wrong place for you.

Telling sexist jokes in this day and age is a big deal, plus its bloody stupid. Greg W is a slimeball and is accused of more than the odd sexist joke.

I think you'll find my view is a little more in line with how the law views it along with most of the world post the 1980s.

Appreciate some of the demographic on here struggle with this kind of thing.

I think you will find that most of the world doesn’t, in fact Stewie. If you think it does then I would strongly suggest that you are lacking in travels in the vast majority of the world.
It may be more accurate to say that it is the current view of the majority of the “western world”, but even that I would caution against putting too much belief in. And I’ve lived and worked in far more of those countries than you have.
For what it’s worth I’m actually more aligned than not with your attitude on this one, I am not a fan of snide insulting “sexist” jokes. To tell a lady that you will only find her attractive after copious alcohol is simply rude, even more so in a professional capacity.

I know people who have worked with him and they are surprised it's taken this long. From what I've been told he's a dirty perve who needs to understand his audience. Some conversation topics are fine amongst friends, but talking about how good you are at shagging your wife, asking people about their sex life and showing shirtless photos of yourself to relative strangers is going to get you in hot water. Total slime ball.
idea

He could go work offshore instead?

Telegraph article earlier was a little more graphic than 'inappropriate jokes'. If any of the more lurid details are true, why didn't the other presenters & production crew step up to the plate?

Look at all the others, the whole industry encourages "enablers" trying to climb the greasy pole. Don't like "the talent"'s behaviour? there's the door, your replacement is willing to walk through it when you walk out.

And it's easy to say someone should have stood up but who knows what skeletons are in their closet they'd rather stay hidden should they decide to wage war against a "well loved TV personality"?

Im sure we havent been told the whole story yet, but if its all over a silly remark or joke, then i disspare of our world frankly. If he got his bits out infront of someone then fair enough, but a bit of banter is just that.

I suspect that these figures are pandered to quite a bit. It seems to be the traditional way in show biz.

There’s so much money tied up and time constraints involved, that the talent are allowed much more leeway than in a normal work environment, just to get the thing in the can.

He's been of accused of simulating a sex act in front of people, asking a gay women what she liked to do in bed with her partner, describing in detail what he likes to do to his wife when having sex and walking on set with just a sock on his cock, plus plenty of other things.

I wonder if anyone fancies trying that sort of 'banter' at work and seeing how well it goes.

Thread title is misleading.

He’s not a BBC presenter.

His programmes are on many channels, not employed by the BBC.

My Wife was working at Nestle when he was filming there. I'm suprised its taken this long for him to be finally kicked off given what I heard about the way he treated people. I know Nestle basically banned him from all their sites. The bloke is a massive tt.
