We are back at the "moderate rebels" argument again. Remember how Al Qaeda became the moderate wing of ISIS?

Think of the white helmets as the propaganda / media department of the same. No saving people without a camera nearby, and if not, staging it is perfectly acceptable to.

By 'staging it' do you mean when they supposedly did the mannequinn challenge?

Yup, several rehearsals often, the main event, of course filmed from various angles. All paid for by the UK, US and various European governments.

Kinda like a Jihadi Pinewood studios, in Aleppo or Idlib.

Seems we will be enjoying the delights of the "white helmets" in the UK. The UK certain needs more "moderate" Jihadis.

https://twitter.com/CraigMurrayOrg/status/10209740...

It does remind one of the "refugees" of the "Libyan Islamic Fighting group". The same "refugee" group who's family member blew himself up in Manchester, killing 21 people, mostly young girls.

https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2017/05/...

I guess London is in need of more concrete vehicle barriers or EOD in Manchester.

Let's bring more fighting age, battle hardened, Islamic fundamentalists, sorry, "moderate Islamic refugees" to the UK, what could possibly go wrong?

Hezbollah have been lobbing SS-21s at Israel, and the Israeli AD has been shooting them down, certainly more sophisticated than the usual unguided ordnance, directed at Israel. Israel have been more circumspect on manned intrusions into Syria, after the IAF F-16 got shot down, expect more UAV and stand off munitions to suppress the Syrian Golan area. A Syrian Su-24 lost an argument with an Israeli SAM, the new equilibrium is being negotiated.

Hezbollah has withdrawn most of their forces in Syria back to Lebanon, so expect more trouble to brew on that border. I wonder if Israel will undertake a ground incursion into Lebanon, as Hezbollah are probably not going to stop any time soon or just continue to hit them from the air?

Looks like it was an Su-22.

Well worth the time to read. It is certainly a grubby, gruesome and bloody period in Levant history. The consequences are still being felt, both there and in
Europe.

Almost certainly Israel will hit Hizballah at some point, including a full blown ground war. I suspect the tension will be ratcheted up with Iran, who will then use Hizballah to goad Israel with intermittent missile strikes. The smallest miscalculation, however, could trigger a properly ugly war.

Good.

Britain to axe funding for scheme supporting Syrian opposition

Guardian said:
The programme claimed that the police force, which last year numbered around 3,300 mostly unarmed officers in the rebel-held areas of Aleppo, Idlib and Daraa provinces, had been under the sway of jihadist forces.

The Panorama programme, Jihadis You Pay For, claimed police officers in Idlib province had to be approved by Jabhat al-Nusra and that police officers in Aleppo province were forced to hand over cash to Nour al-Din al-Zinki, another extremist group.

Let us try a quick translation.

"unarmed policeman in rebel-held areas." Translates directly as "heavily armed Jihadi fanatics, using UK taxpayer money to support their violent Islamic fundamentalist ideology via a PR front organisation" . Does the term "white helmets" also spring to mind here ?

The debased morality, of funding and supporting a grotesque full scale war against a sovereign government, which included funding, supporting and arming groups who tortured, enslaved, raped and slaughtered their way across Syria for half a decade, destroying a stable, secular and reasonably prosperous Middle Eastern country. I hope the supporters of this policy, hang your heads in shame. The hubris of Libya and Syria is breathtaking.

Syria gets reconstructed etc etc...

I wonder then who will whack Assad. It's going to happen in the future, poison or shot and we all know who'll be behind it.

They won't let him get his country back after Russia stopped them dead in their tracks.

Assuming you're referring to Mossad: there is no way the Israeli government will get rid of him - better the devil you know. After all, that piece of junk hassan nazrahlla is still alive in his bunker.

Let's see what happens. My money is on another fake chemical attack as an excuse for the US to bomb the SAA to protect it's pet terrorists in Idlib.

Israel Implicated in supplying Islamic fundamentalists in Syria. My enemies enemy is my friend, especially when they are keeping the Syrian Civil war going, and fighting Iranian back militia. Sunni hating Shia, more than jew. Religion certainly justifies some odd alliances. Semitic anti-semitism. if you will.
