So the full coaching team announced today.

I have to admit I'm pretty surprised that Howley has been included.
(Who is going to coach Wales for the next year???)

I'm horribly conflicted.

fking Howley.

But Borthwick and Farrell both very, very good choices

But, fking Howley. Up until then we had a reasonable chance.

st, we're doomed.

Who is going to be Coaching Wales?
How did the WRU permit such a situation whereby god knows who will be coaching Wales for the 6N 2017. We are going to be dry humped.

I guess it's only Gatland who takes a leave of absence from his main role.

Although, good to see you getting your excuses in early...... wink

Howley is a liability. How the fk he's in the team beggars belief

Sent off after coming on as a sub for a swinging arm

Swinging arm in a "tackle" against Sean O'Brien tonight. He'd only just got on the pitch.

There's something not quite right with that bloke.

As for Howley, just a fking disaster. Zero credibility. Did anyone watch Wales this Autumn? The ABs would have put about 70 points on them.

Agree on both points.

Wtf was Hartley thinking though. Dear oh dear. He's going to need some seriously chocolatey hob nobs.

I have always been a Saints fan. Grew up locally, season ticket holder for 15 years, never missed a game.
Stayed up last night (live in Dubai) to watch the game.

Surely its time that the guy gets either a season long ban or a life ban?
Why the hell he gets picked when he is known to be a liability is a joke- isnt his total 50 odd weeks worth of bans through his career.

Headlines this morning saying 'england waits anxiously for outcome' they should be publically dropping the guy and outlining precisely why that sort of behaviour cannot, will not and must not be tolerated in the sport.

I've been impressed by the way he has handled himself recently and particularly the way he has led England but it was obvious he was on his last (gilt-edged) chance. He simply has to lose the captaincy now and, probably, his place for the 6N which will likely ruin any Lions chances. Fortunately, Jamie George might actually be a better hooking option these days and Farrell can probably take over the captaincy.

got to be honest it 'just' looked like poor timing. O'Brien (?) slipped/fell as Hartley was coming in

WRT to the coaching side several things were said about the England coaching team after RWC 15 - could that be awkward for certain players?

As an outsider looking in, even the commentators bias was clear. It was a clear red card yet they were acting like there was some doubt!

Open your other eye hehe

He plants his feet, braces his weight and swings his arm full bore. Completely foolish, totally not a tackle, it's a cheap shot and the reddest red you'll ever see.

oh don't misunderstand me - it was always a swinging arm (therefore a card) and exceedingly dull, especially after al the good work he's done this year. My comment was that it was set to connect mid-body and not with the head before O'Brien toppled. Wa

For those few of us who like data analysis AND rugby:

http://www.economist.com/blogs/gametheory/2016/11/...

Really good, but overlooks the key determinant of success: the side with the most hooks against the head wins- everything else is just a sideshow.
