Just been out for a drive, about 15 miles normal town and country roads on a Sunday.

so in this time today ive seen a biker wheelie from a traffic light, a biker over take on double white lines and a few lots doing doing 50+ in a 30 mph zone.

And they wonder why they get a bad rep.

yeh, yesterday I got one overtaking me in a 20 zone doing at least 50mph. I mean, I was doing 20, the biker was easily doubling my speed and then some. In the daytime. In a heavily residential area. With a lot of pedestrians and other stuff going on.

You also get dhead car drivers but everyday of the year, at least the bikers are only part time idiots biglaugh

But agree, there are some that just need their licences being revoked because they are just dicks and have no common sense or respect for anyone.

out of the bikers, it is always the power rangers that ride the worst. i love bikes but they really need to calm down, or wait until 5am in the morning when no one is on the roads.

weather like this for me means that young chavs will be out riding illegally on quad bikes and other off road bikes with no helmet and any sort of license/insurance.

We shall agree to disagree, I've seen plenty of the jean/t-shirt clad riders being tts too. I'm what you call one of the power ranger folk but I save my 'making progress' to empty roads and race tracks smile

Be safe out there

Bit of a mixed bag here - on the NSL roads some riding well and others going ten tenths like it is a qualifying lap at Donington.
We have a lot of Harley riders going "potato potato potato" through the village.
(Chartered accountants, eh, what are they like?)
A posse of superbikes trundled through yesterday - visors raised, sat upright, keeping close to the 20 limit - nailed it once in the 60 limit - so fair play to them.

Are we neighbours?

The odd hardly rider sounding like a Bull farting in a dustbin & the pussay posse blatting past with their sandy vag but mostly well behaved.

Far more car drivers & their raspberry blowing exhaust proportionally I think.

I've mentioned this many times.

I live near the A217 mad mile.

Everyday is bike race day.

Local road to me, just on the South edge of the Black mountains, and some lovely driving roads. It's often a mixture of push bikes of the MAMIL fame, all riding in packs, interspersed with the occasional tractor, a few cars, and some loony motorbikes. Overtaking the MAMIL is difficult, because you can never tell when an arse on a bike is going to come along (either behind you or towards you), doing 100 mph. The speed differential is dangerous and makes driving difficult and stressful.

But by observation, I'm in the 'all bikers are tts' camp. Not difficult to see why they are over represented in the road fatality statistics, sadly.

I think all methods of transport have their own loonies including peddle bikes in the good weather.

I guess the only change is bikers of the peddle and engine varieties show themselves more in the good weather. I'm a fair weather rider because I'm fortunate to have a car so I don't need to ride in poor conditions.

The thing with sports bikes is the performance is so ridiculous that even a 5k bike can easily do a sub 3.5s 0-60 and with that level of performance it's easy to go a bit banzai although I will say it takes a lot more bravery to go fast on a bike.

Why do people say this, is it meant to be derogatory? I neither own a Harley nor am I an accountant but I don't get it.

I saw one earlier overtaking just before a blind rise, and he was millimetres away from a nasty head-on. He was driving a car as a cunning disguise, but I wasn't fooled; clearly another stupid biker.

Except it's not. It's clearly someone registering annoyance with seasonal bad behaviour from only certain bikers.
