i was reading that last big btc crash was caused by 2 bots on mtgox, fake trading to drive the price down. I wonder how many people are actually controlling thew whole exchanges and prices now, a handful, someone is manipulating the prices, it is easy money.

I don’t buy the manipulation story. Maybe last year but now? Panic selling.

Yes it’s entirely coincidental that the price went up £1k after 100m Tether tokens were printed (apparently backed by USD but never audited or proved as such)

this was last year Aug. Imagine if the situation now btc has gone nearly 3 times since then. 60 million trades, probably 300+ million usd on the exchange, and this is just one exchange.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/single-trader-with-...

''spoofers place a large buy order just below other buy orders, or a large sell order just above other sell orders...

The catch is this: If the price approaches the spoofer’s order, he immediately cancels it. Spoofing is actually illegal, but as Bitcoin markets are largely unregulated, it’s quite common..

He regularly places orders approaching $60 mll...

Even more unusual is that most of Spoofy’s activity occurs on a single exchange: Bitfinex.''

(Bitfinex has the highest volume in btc)

''“Spoofy makes the price go up when he wants it to go up, and Spoofy makes the price go down when he wants it to go down, and he’s got the coin… both USD, and Bitcoin, of course, to pull it off, and with impunity on Bitfinex.”''

Because BItcoin is so thinly traded, a single large “whale” can potentially move the entire market.

He has the ability to trigger the landslide, as it is a perfect storm as newbies panic selling, along with other news. Then start buy orders, easy to make 50% in a day.

BTC just broke the 100 day MA, we all know what happened the last few times that occurred. If it breaks the 200 MA however, things could get nasty.

Bitconnect tokens are going to be worthless in a few minutes. Should be interesting to see how those refunded are going to get anything.

It was rather stomach churning as it dropped under a dollar. Still kicking myself for not getting out at $3+. But I was being greedy and 1300% return wasn't good enough rolleyes

people making quick money. It more a barometer of how quickly the confidence springs back, a trait of cryptos.

Added around 70,000 TRON (TRX) to my portfolio tonight. Let's see where we end up!

A coin burn is scheduled for Q1. Should be interesting.

It’s not a measure of anything. You can’t look so short term especially with cryptos!

You’re telling me you see the below day chart as confidence, no confidence, confidence, no confidence every damn hour nearly?
