Swapped from Barclays (seriously had enough of the ever increasing foreign call centres and questionable 'account' managers who knew v. little and could do even less) to Nationwide Flex Account and got given a £100 in the process as was introduced by family pal.

So, if you're thinking of swapping banks, have a look at them as I can't fault their customer service - I even have a branch telephone number!!)

Spent the afternoon with one of their investment people today. Again, investment opportunities are exclusive for existing customers so charges lower. They are middle of the road in many respects but returns on their perceived higher risk funds are actually ok. interestingly, they have stopped doing pensions and Trusts. Found out they do a home insurance package which I mean to look at.

So, give me a shout if you likey, let me introduce you and we can be £100 richer each smile

I personally bank with them and have no complaints, but I find their savings rates are pretty poor.

I was only getting 0.5% pa interest on a cash ISA. Not good with 3% inflation.

Have our household account & cc with them, current account being a condition of the mortgage. If like me you can be a little occasionally forgetfull about making sure everythings on time and within limit, be warned they are VERY penalty charge happy.
