Hello,

My new employer requires me to use my own personal credit card for company expenses, as opposed to being issued with something like a corporate AMEX charge card. No problem, I've taken out a dual AMEX / MasterCard with a long 0% on purchases period, and it means I can accumulate a lot of avios.

I've also setup a new current account with the sole purpose of having expenses sent to that account so I can pay off the card.

Traditionally, previous employers have used concur, which connects to your AMEX account and allows you to reconcile the expenses and ensure the card is paid off.

Is there anything that will allow me to import (ideally direct import) my credit card and expenses inbound current account to ensure i'm keeping tally of everything going in and out?

I suppose I could make an excel spreadsheet, export the statement from my online banking and do it that way, but where's the fun in that smile

I am not sure I have understood what you want correctly but have you looked at YNAB (You Need A Budget)?

You can allow it to look at your bank accounts and then activity will show up on YNAB and you can set budgets and all sorts. Its a few quid a month mind. I use it for my personal finances just to make sure I can cover everything. Found it really useful and now covered for about 3 months forward should jobs disappear over night.

They do a months free trial so no harm in just trying it out.

Hmm, i agree I was a bit vague. Let's try again.

I have a credit card that is incurring expenses. I'd like some software that will import the transactions, and allow me to check off what ones I've reconciled and what ones I haven't.

My previous employer used to use concur with transaction reporting, so I could do this very function. It would also pay off the card, but I know i won't be able to do that.

I did actually look at YNAB, but my word is it a flakey app. Frequently disconnected with my bank.
