Don't take any advice from me.

Sold BOO with a small profit, just before it went up another pound
Sold PHE accepting a small loss, just before it doubled plus a bit
Sold SXX accepting a bigger loss that would now be a 25% gain.....
Just get out of here, you hear get out!

Unless a holding forms a specific target writhing within your portfolio (to an asset class, theme etc) you should be consistently asking yourself whether, at the current price would I still invest in the shares today...or whether your forecast returns cover your own personal required return.

Why does no one have a view on anything i mention? shoot

Well, i bought some. 616 shares at 63.8p.

Share price fell even further since i initially posted (11% down), despite releasing a very positive trading update with revenue up 28%.

https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/new...

It wouldnt surprise me if the SP fell further as there is clear downward momentum. But im not going to try to time the bottom.

Its cheap and thats what matters to me.
16% up in 9 days.

Ooft, quite a day for Fevertree, not in a good way! Down over 27% at close.

I get that they missed target, but 10% annual growth and P/E at 26.5 doesn’t seem that batst crazy compared to some growth companies. Gut feel is this is a bit of an over reaction.

Exactly

Once you think its time to get out then close the whole lot. Don't dabble in the meantime. Disengage your brain.

It is worth reminiscing why you got involved in the first place. Try to remember that and maybe write it down. Then when you get thoughts about closing some or tinkering read it over and over.
I do that regularly with GKP, once bitten...

Ted Baker - how low can it go? £19 to £3 in a year. Scandal and accounting cock ups, but a company that seems to have good quality product that people want. Recovery in the near future?

'Good quality product' hehe

Their stuff is overpriced tat. It's not really about quality and more about brand anyway. You never know with fashion but only fashion retailers that seem to be doing well are the 'cheap' fashion places like Asos and Boohoo (more specifically Boohoo).

I was thinking this earlier - ted baker appears to have stood the test of time for a fickle industry that it operates in.

Only looked at their stock when i was trying to work out how superdry is still above 40, no idea how that brand is still afloat.

Purely based on some of the folk I work with, who seem to buy nothing else.I'll let them know hehe

Was thinking about Superdry when looking into TED this morning. A few years back Superdry did a similar thing, fell from about £15 to £3.50 (approx) with accountancy problems & poor Christmas results etc. Then slowly rose back to where they had come from. At the time, plenty of people were buying the product, so I bought some around £4 and sold around £10.

What would you buy then for similar money? I have been buying TB for years for the simple reason its decent quality for the price and their garments seem to last a long time.

I have RL and Fred Perry polos that have lasted literally 4-5 washes. TB stuff easily 10x that.

I'm not someone who buys TB stuff (or other designers) so if you're looking for a fashion guru you are probably better off asking someone else.

I have seen TB shoes and they're pretty expensive and poorly made. If your experience of their products is good then fair enough but fashion is a fickle thing and I don't think TB is particularly in vogue these days.

Up 45p today or 13% and up 66% in 3 months. It broke through £4 a share then fell back a bit before close.

Bosch have taken and approx 21% stake. Now funded to become a world leader in fuel cell technology. Reckon it won’t be too long before this is pushing £10 a share.

PHE shareholder too - all looking great atm up around 110% Now I’ve done it!

Haven’t used my IG account for a few years, but tempted to put a spread bet on the FTSE as markets have dropped due to coronavirus fears, but I think it’s a very temporary blip and the markets will be back up in a week or two.

Only problem is the deposit they want now, after the new retail punter protection rules came in, it’s a lot bigger than it used to be!
