I need to open a share dealing account.
Odd purchase and sale, low frequency, and speculative with spare cash as and when.
Any recommendations?
Thanks
Hargreaves and Landsdown is the platform I use. £11.95 a dealing. Not the cheapest mind.Odd purchase and sale, low frequency, and speculative with spare cash as and when.
Any recommendations?
Thanks
So it’s another vote from me

No.
Hth.
Thanks. Don't own any myself at present but still have a niggling thought that it has potential. I was in a while back and made quite a lump of money out of its rise, but sold my initial investment leaving the profit 'to ride', only to get rid a few months back.Hth.
Seems to be dropping quickly now (only 35% up now, as opposed to 100% up half an hour ago).

RNS issued. Initial spike then falls after people sell out. By the looks of it.Seems to be dropping quickly now (only 35% up now, as opposed to 100% up half an hour ago).

Completely expected so no stellar rise is on the cards, a steady rerate back up to low 40s between now and the end of the year I expect. Unless there is any surprising news on a partnership or licensing. Early next year before approval will be in place and revenue starts to flow. Holding on for that.
I expect a raise for HABP first. While submission was expected, it's also taken almost 3 months from their initial predicted date so some were wondering if there was an issue. However, as predicted, the SP is now down from open; complete dog of a share.

I’ve been with them over 10 years. Agree it’s not the cheapest, but they’re app and website have been super reliable - obviously there’s the odd glitch and time down for maintenance. Everything is explained very clearly, the research available at your fingertips is a great starting point, and it’s all easy to use.
So it’s another vote from me
And for me... very user friendly. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.So it’s another vote from me

I have dealing accounts with IG Index, AJ Bell, Charles Stanley and Barclays Smart Investor.Odd purchase and sale, low frequency, and speculative with spare cash as and when.

The bid/offer spreads are noticibly tighter on Barclays saving quite a large amount on many deals that far exceeds dealing charges.
I opened the other accounts to try to diversify away from Barclays but I’ve ended up doing all my recent deals with Barclays due to the better pricing.
I look after my fathers dealing account at HL and often buy him the same as myself. The spreads at HL are very wide in comparison with Barclays. That’s why I don’t have an account with them myself.

Anyone still holding MTFB here? I cant decide if I should increase mine. FDA thing done now right?
I'm holding, but have Stockholm Syndrome. The submission is done. The FDA have 2 months to accept it, then 6 months to make a decision.
Time is the problem for me. I still think this could be a good earner but I dont want to wait around for another 8 months especially if I buy even more. Anything can happen in 8 months and this takes a beating regularly.

I'd treat it as at least an 8 month investment. Time is the problem for me. I still think this could be a good earner but I dont want to wait around for another 8 months especially if I buy even more. Anything can happen in 8 months and this takes a beating regularly.
The only change I can see to that is if they announce a partnership or some form of acquisition in the interim.
They will probably start to look at HAPB in the short term too, but that may well involve a capital raise (unless they find another way of raising money without dilution).
More potential good news for Powerhouse Energy. The Welsh Assembly are pushing for the new trains on the Wales franchise to be Hydrogen powered, the article also mentions a Welsh car company being given £2m to produce H powered cars.

This will not happen. Electric or diesel is all the railway understands.
You won't find a Manufacturer who'll stick their cock of the block to deviate from this, electric is the long term aspiration and that's seeing all the funding.

PHE are really interesting thanks for the heads up.
I would agree that hydrogen trains on already electrified lines seems a non-starter, no emissions to reduce, just burn the H2 in a power plant and save the distribution headache.
However plenty of lines are not electrified, and it would be interesting to know how the costs compare for diesel>hydrogen conversion vs diesel>electric. At the very least I reckon the former could be done in a more gradual manner so less capital intensive even if the total cost was similar.
