Is this the official confirmation of Stage 2 Funding being 100% (as the company has always said was it's intention);

15% - always makes me wonder how sustainable it actually is. Share price has dropped 40% over the last 18 months but maybe stabilising a bit - interesting one.

They've been doing aggressive M&A (to the tune of $1.8B) which has depressed the price. I think that they've been shrewd in tying up partnerships to feed their core business (pipelines) but on the downside these are fairly low-grade wells in the Gulf of Mexico, although they are deep-water which means they have a long life. There's also the pref shares that get a fairly hefty whack of the dividends.

Its an interesting stock, the draw is the divis at the moment but they also may move a little higher due to the revenues coming in from the acquisitions.

On a site like Etoro - but beware, using 10x leverage means that if the share drops, your CFD drops 10x as much as well! And new regs coming in at the end of the month are going to limit the leverage to a max of 5%.
But any existing positions won't be affected, so I'm going to hang on to Amazon at 10x as long as possible!
And AMZN seem to be drifting along, not doing much - today. Friday is normally when you see a drop, as people take profits for the weekend, not looking forward to that, but it's plus 0.02% at the minute, which is 0.2% at 10x leverage, which is still a nice bonus for doing nothing.
Still torn between closing the position and taking the cash, or keeping it through the ER.- I have it divided up into 10 separate positions, so might cash out a couple and leave some to go through earnings calls.
It's hard work, this "doing nothing but occasionally check the price" business... wink

It might be details, but the wells will be long life because they are deep water. Too expensive to drill more wells, so they let them flow even when the production reduces a lot. Although the extra pressure will help them flow at a better rate than shallow wells. On land once the production drops a bit they'd just drill another well to increase it again as it is much cheaper.

Have a look at some of the other tips you got. I'm sure a lot of them turn out to be crap too.

On the flip side; I read about BooHoo on here, pointed out thier P/E was mental, got caught up in the buzz anyway, bought, it dropped, doubled down to lower my average. Well, at least the second tranche is back in the black...

If he has been told by someone who has a crystal ball or time machine then yes, definitely. Otherwise I would apply the same weight to it as a share tip on the internet.

Amazon seem to be on the way back up on the pre-market - I sold my position yesterday as they started to take a dive, but most tech stocks are recovering now by the looks of things! MasterCard also looking promising so I might open a position in them as well...

Got me doing some reading, lots of positive outlooks but this certainly rung a bell for me: total gross sales for the 11 months ended July 31, 2017 of £847,000 and net sales (after returns) of £478,000.

What is your take on the net sales figure being drastically lower than gross sales figure?

Squeaky bum day yesterday with Amazon but today it seems flatter. I wonder if we're bouncing off the limiter.

I bought into them pretty late in the game. I got some at about £1.70 after they announced their good results 2 quarters ago. Hung on to them and watched them hit £2.10, then they fell back and I bought more under £2. It may not be too late to make money even if someone posted about it on here 6 months before.

Plenty of returns I'd guess
But momentum still behind it at the moment and still not on the hordes radar yet

Snag with having everything in cash is the forex/inflation risk (obviously). I would be inclined to hedge by buying assets/funds/stocks that are none U.K./EU and perhaps, if I was that rich, buying some dollars and other currencies.
Either way, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen, a well balanced/hedged portfolio is probably a better bet than simply a big pile of cash.

If you still hold BluePrism I’d suggest taking some profits. I know the business and technology pretty well and they are very overpriced (mainly as they are the only pure RPA vendor on the stock market). But.. congrats on getting in when you did!

Nice pop for GOOG after hours. I’ve got a small amount in my portfolio that I purchased at around 550 after it had dropped to that down from 770ish if I recall correctly. Which I had bought more!
