Thanks - that is what I’m thinking. I’m going to take the gamble with a modest amount in the hope it pays for our new kitchen(!)

Any thoughts on Saga? I have a small holding that I bought in around £1.85 which is showing a fair drop yet they rejected a £4 share offer not all that long ago. Times have changed no doubt, but at todays money it looks cheap, at least to me.

Glad I got out of CINE at the start of the pandemic. No I wouldn’t take the gamble, they’re likely to go under imo.

Agree. It’s a potential pump, but at the end of the day you’re playing Russian Roulette. I’d ask the question in the Big Gamble thread - them vampires feed off stonks like this biggrin

Can anyone explain why ishares s&p 500 is 6.34 and in the red whilst vanguard's s&p 500 (vuag) is £63 and in the green?

I thought they both just owned and tracked the entire s&p 500 ?

Impairment charge on their insurance business has seen them post a loss.. They seem upbeat, but it's going to be a bit of a long haul from here. An impairment was expected but not as much as was announced.

If they can grow and maintain their insurance business and increase the cruise numbers then they should be okay. They are focussed on the debt which is the right thing to do, but still need to grow the business at the same time. £4 a share - maybe they should have accepted it!

£1.06 at the moment.

VF Corporation (owner of Vans, North Face and others) is trading 33% down in the last month and 59% on the last year.

Might be worthy of an investment...

Expensive product, consumer discretionary sector, trading at barely 50% of 200d MA. Personally, I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. That said I like the products so one for the watchlist perhaps.

Well, we took the gamble. So far we have doubled our money over the space of a few weeks.

We wish we had bought more!
