Apple broke it's ATH again today - wonder how long it will last? Earnings Report on 1st November, not sure whether to hang on through any corrections or just close at a good price...

I know I don't know what to do either - the price rise of course has been welcome - sitting 36% up right now - if I sell earnings will be really good - if I hold on earnings will not be as good.

At the moment I am 60:40 to keeping them.

I find it almost impossible to close before earnings on any position - I've had too many that just rocket at x10 leverage and make a mint, and know which ones have a tendency to dive no matter how good the report is!
I think the report will be spectacularly good, it's the guidance for the next quarter that worries me - can they keep going like they have been? If the guidance is bad they'll sink, no matter what the earnings are!

Anyone else following the Uranium market/miners/explorers/etc? Seems to be on the verge of breaking out of the long bear market it has been in.

Any idea why OCDO has dropped nearly 5% today? Some big buys going in this afternoon

The footsie has dropped a decent amoubt this week as have most of the big markets so I think part of it is general market sentiment, the other part will be profit taking and the fact is that however well run or well backed ocado is its a loss making business and its p/e is bananas, makes amazon, tesla, asos etc look sane.

Some sustained growth has occurred and I bet a few, including myself are nearly at break-even on PHE!

Afternoon All,

Currently involved in a few AIM shares, with the lions share being in RBD - M&G took £3m in last weeks placing (to be used for new deals not corporate costs) along with Miton adding to their existing holding. As the placing was predominantly with IIs therefore hopefully this will minimise the overhang as we enter a news rich period.

Also got holdings in NCCL (shareholder loan should be finalised at 10p pretty soon as well as JDA with GE/CMEC), UPL (trade up to Wick spud) and WDC which has really dropped despite last raise at 3p at which time directors took some of the placing.
What do WDC do?
Stem cell insurance.

Hopefully should get an update later this month with recent numbers - hopefully all negatives priced in and will see a lift. Current MC of £2.87m and £1.8m in cash from last raise.
Down 50%

Holy shomoly
Down 24%

Now 0.48p

CAKE

Had been doing quite well on CAKE, but suspended today amid “irregularities” and a suspended CFO.

Maybe you can’t have your CAKE and eat it... (I had been up ~40% at one stage.... frown )

I dumped nearly all my MTFB last Friday (~14k with a small profit) with a view to get in a bit lower and hold into Feb '19, but I'm starting to think I may have misjudged that move. I hope I don't end up paying more to get back in but I will if I have to.
Looks like a good entry now. I also dumped mine because I just can't understand why it's so low if its such a good bet. So maybe it's not or it would be higher etc etc etc

Question is where will that money that's coming out of the US end up?

I've been in the US market for years (Live here)... man today was tough. I have primarily tech stocks and some pot stocks... all took a beating today.

My watchlist (70% tech, 30 other, no crypto) is ALL in pretty deep red at the minute. It's done that before and recovered within a couple of days, but it just might not, this time...

Live in the UK but only ever bother with US stocks - 2pm is a sensible time to get up and check premarket prices, panic, or wait half an hour then buy or short positions (CFDS only) - Nasdaq is a pit of death at the minute.

I start at 10am so would miss the UK market opening - and as I make most money from ERs, I need to be online when the market opens.

My advice would be to stay in bed for the rest of this week, preferably with a valium.

As to the MTFB call above, good shout, down to 29p on open today, dragged by the NASDAQ route yesterday no doubt... Buy buy buy.
