Forum not lettting me post last night

I was on the forum last night and wanted to post a thread. When I meant to do this the forum told me that they weren’t allowing new members to comments due to persistent abuse earlier on. It said the forum will be like this for some hours and they hope I return later.

What’s going ?

Thanks to spammers the forums get put into a 'safe mode' overnight where new accounts aren't allowed to post until they've been established a while.

Say that, I've just been informed by my fellow ambassadors that the All forums are locked down at night UNLESS you are a trusted (email confirmed) member.

No it' not 2 weeks. I keep getting below every night despite being on here since 27th September 2018. And it applies to all subforums, not only SP&L or the Lounge.

There however have been glitches with the system that causes it to become erratic.

Yup, definitely a new member Glitch is PH talk for "somethings wrong in the codebase, but the single developer we've been alloted did his annual fixes back in August, so hang fire there"

Or alternatively it means that the development team is having his nappy changed do you'll need to bare with.

August you say... that means that for the next 10 months I'll have to spend my evenings with the family instead of on here

I get this too, verified email address but can't post late in the evening, even on threads I started.
I'm waiting to see if it changes in a couple of days, maybe it's a 1 one month membership timer?
