Last night when using my indicator I got a message on my computer to say the front left was out and the indicator was flashing faster than normal (like they do when one is out). I checked said indicator and it was fine. Checked this morning again and it's still saying it's out but it's not.

Any idea what the issue could be?

Thanks

Have you checked the side-repeater and rear indicators too, just in case?

Don't forget this is a BMW, so it won't have worn out haha winkbiggrin

Check the bulbs and terminals/contacts for any corrosion too, give em a clean for peace of mind smile

I have checked the side repeaters - all grand.

Connections look ok as well. Might just change the bulbs anyway - even though they are hardly used tongue out

Yeah, but you will need the hazards for parking on kerbs, zebra crossing zig-zags, at junctions, double-yellows...

It may be a glitch in the FRM, iirc it may need the fault clearing from the memory or some other tweak.

Sometimes the bulb check system detects an issue with a bulb before it has actually failed, so even though the system says the bulb has failed, it's still working.

A few days later - The bulb no longer works!

(Had this with a rear bulb on my E46 330ci - The car kept saying there was a rear light out for a couple of days, but every time I checked them, the lights were all working. Four days later, low and behold, I had a tail light failure!)

If it's anything like my E63 it'll be that the front bulb isn't secure in the indicator housing

Thanks everyone. Have ordered a replacement set of bulbs for the car.
