Unfortunately it could. This is why equity investments should always be viewed as being longer term, so we can all ride out things like this.

Whilst I completely understand some are concerned, I have seen much worse than this during my professional life to date. Every time it resulted in profits.

smile

If Biden goes in we can forget a decent trade deal, according to pundits on R4 today. But British liberals will still be for rooting for him, in a spectacular exercise of self-arse-kicking, probably just so thay can say 'I told you so' and feel smug.

Of course it hadn't been for Mrs May's utter uselessness we'd have got Brexit over with two years ago.

Do we reckon the markets are going to have another little dip on Monday?

Tempted to ask Nik to wait 24 hours before investing into OGG, PHR, PHE the little extra I put in late on Friday laugh May as well get a bit closer to the bottom smile

In it for the long haul though, so not the end of the world if we don't time the bottom (who ever can!)

I spoke to Nik yesterday re adding to my SIPP and he said it's straight forward. Ok, so I'm struggling with it biggrin

For example: where it says "Contribution Payment Method", it doesn't give me any option to change "Select Payment Method". It just gives a no access symbol. I've given the amount and chosen "Single" as the "Contribution Frequency". confused

Also, using the calendar next to "Contribution Start Date" it only gives me the option of 14th November.

I take it you also have to download some "Mandate" form and send it off to you too?

It all seems a bit hard work / confusing or is this standard?

I'm obviously doing something wrong... hate form filling... so if I can still be arsed tomorrow to add a one-off contribution tomorrow I'll give Nik a ring so he can hopefully spare me 5 mins to hold my hand through it smile

Hi mate

Give me, Nik or Coops a call in the morning and we can see what is happening. You won't need to do any paperwork.

If you prefer, just pop over to mine on the way to work. Apollo has grown her jaw pressure now! biggrin

Cheers

Julian
