Just heard my 992 has left the factory and is due at port on the 15th. The OPC is still saying delivery on April 5th, 7 days ahead of schedule, but I recon it could be even sooner than that.

Anyone elses 992 come out if production? When is your OPC expecting it'll arrive?

Fantastic news! Mine is due on the production line on the 15th but I know dates can move so I’m hoping it arrives early as well. I’ve asked my OPC to keep me advised when it reaches stage 8.

I put my deposit down mid-December and then spec’d the car around mid-Jan. was pretty unsure and undecided at the time but now really excited.

I think mine is still 2nd week of April. I was able to spy into Reading OPC car park yesterday and a few already lined up... I guess these are the launch cars?

If your car has left the factory, I bet you’re driving it by the end of the (this) month.
It’s an undescribable feeling knowing your car is on the way, the suspense is immense.
Be sure and ask your OPC to give you screenshots and print offs of every stage of its journey from the start of product to hand over. For me it was something special to have, being my first new Porsche.
Cheers.

Depends where you are on your dealers allocated build slots (chances are they took several orders on the first day)...each OPC probably has a build slot every couple of weeks. Also could be something you specced that has pushed it back.

My completion date V300 was 1st March, now has been changed to 22nd March. 😞. Deposit paid 5th September. Delivery looks like middle of April.

My deposit was put on in October. I don't know how that compares.

Wish i had gone for the Cab now, one thing that i am not a big fan of on both Cab and Targa is that you have to pull over and stop to lower the roof, or put back up. You can do this now up to 30 Mph on the new one.

Very kind! The SE at my OPC has taken the trouble to explain/shown me the ordering system and shown me e-mail correspondence with the people at Porsche GB that deal with the orders for new cars on the odd occasion. It's a pretty random system from what I have seen/experienced. Big variable is spec and especially if you change spec close to order lock down....seems that's asking for trouble when it comes to production delay even if you're deleting and reverting to standard.

Mine is due to leave the factory at the end of this week so was hoping to have it towards the end of this month. Is this confirmed now that first deliveries wont be till sometime in April?

This is not new, the cab has always been able to lower and raise the roof at 30 mph.

The targa can’t do this because of the weight and mechanism, doubt the new one will be any different, all hard tops are the same.

My 997.2 you could raise at around 20mph from memory.
