Toshiba 1550 printer probs

We were donated a mega printer to our parish for printing the parishes community newsletter to those that arent able to get the online edition.

It worked fine for 2 years and then it started printing a lot of black which gradually got worse. We suspected toner probs, so bought a new one. It now just prints a virtually complete black page.

Can anyone help with whats gone wrong.

Theres no way we can afford anything newer, as we are such a small community here in deepest darkest east Cornwall, and we have quite an elderly population.

yes and put in a brand new toner

Is this a Printer, Photocopier or both?
I have worked on a lot of Printers and only ever 1 Toshiba Engined Laser Plotter.

The only reference I can find to a Toshiba 1550 is an A3 sized Photocopier.
If it is one of those, try cleaning the Chargers

Shurely a photocopier is also a printer?......Its a massive white thing sitting in my 3rd bedroom. But it was a freebie, hey ho.

Just trying to identify the correct Model.

If you click on the Link I posted for the User Manual, it shows how to clean the Charge Wire.
Very easy.
Vague possibility that it may fix the problem.
