Haven't gambled on single shares since Plasmon, Honeysuckle and Lastminute.com cost me a £10k loss during the dotcom roller coaster fiasco.
Still cross 20 years later.
Now trying to think of beautiful things.
Nope, still cross.
Damn you! I had managed to block that period out of my mind.... not anymore ...Still cross 20 years later.

I bought some more Innovaderma.
I liked the price before corona, and now its so much better.
On top of that, their main product (fake tan lotion) has 4 main sales channels, their website, Superdrug, Boots and Tesco all of which are really rather busy atm.
(Although i did hear that boots have stopped selling non medical stuff in some stores?)
Also worth noting their last trading update was poorer than expected with them having burnt through alot of cash producing the stock to supply boots and superdrug for sales that are weighted towards summer.
ETA.
No debt and a forward P/E of 4 (if they meet numbers) and have grown their revenue and profit really quickly over the last 5 years with no reason to believe it will slow.
This looks like a good shout to me - hadn’t heard of them before although had heard of their skinny tan product (from Dragons Den, not from personal use..). Quite a few director buys in the last few weeks, as well as an RB director buying in apparently - not sure if this is confirmed or not. I liked the price before corona, and now its so much better.

I think I’m going to buy in, thanks for the info Benbay
Looked up the makers of Dettol, Reckitt Benckiser.
They are around 5800-6200.
Have bought a few sub 5900 and sold out 6200. If they go down below 5500 I'll pick up some more.
Happy to take some profit on short term volatility, but will be holding for the longer term.
Not a share I expect to double, bit one thst will weather the storm.
Amazon, Microsoft and visa are a another few that I've added to my Sipp.

I've put a couple of hundred into each of these.

Tullow oil - in at 12p. well added quite a few k to that on trump's tweet on thursday I think was. Doing well so far 50% gain friday. Will hold for 5 to 8 bagger there.
Intu property - owns Trafford centre and bluewater, highly geared and bad market place i.e. retail but taken an absolutely beating!
Eddie stobart
That's it for punts, any further money will be going into melrose, wood group, barclays and glencore as safer plays.

Far too many retailers looking for rent reductions.
I got into Melrose at a considerably higher price and have been tipping up of late as I see this as coning through this current downshift. Obv not a a spectacular short term gain but one thst should rise (and hopefully above my inital purchase at the start of the year....,!!)

I was planning to go in with Barclays. Just waiting for the timing. I’ve got a feeling we’ll see further lockdown which might put the price down further. (Lockdown extends or gets tougher meaning banks forced to loan more pushing price down).
IAG seems a given seeing as everyone is desperate to go on holiday.
Wouldn’t touch Carnival though!

i've got some airtel africa shares as theyre fun going up and down 10% most days! aaf, kind of hope if i dont make a quick profit they'd be good in the long term as telecoms in africa should be a reasonable bet?
what companies are good for investing in internet infrastructure in the uk as that will have money thrown at it? i have some bt and vodafone

After realising that I didn't have any type of account that could buy NYSE stocks, and couldn't be arsed setting one up, I have ended up with £500 each of;
Rolls Royce
Taylor Wimpey
Easyjet
Aviva
ITV
Barclays
Lloyds
Cineworld
Did also have a buy order in for Barratt but it opened above my limit price. I am currently watching Barratt, Smiths Group, BP and Victoria plc to see where the remaining £1k goes, depending on movement.

I have a fill or kill order in but don’t seem to be able to buy the shares... will see how it progresses and then maybe go in via smaller chunks

I’m still watching them and still not decided. Can I ask why you advise giving them a wide berth?
I don't know. It just doesn't seem very good!
