VLS has now dropped below 5p. I wish I had a chunk of cash to throw into it right now but given the fact that I'm having a catastrophic day that's not going to happen!
I got some VLS at 4.87p

The only thing I did right was sell PHE at about 2.70 and put it into something else which didn't go down quite as much.

Agreed, Pete.

It seems to me that a lot of people have "invested" due to noise on twitter and the like without really having much of a clue how business works. Today's RNS was always going to be a standard half-year trading update and as we know, the six months to September were pretty much core business hit by covid while investment and R&D went on for the stuff that started happening in October and as per the last investor presentation will be firing on all cylinders by the end of the quarter i.e. close of the calendar year.

It seems that a lot of shareholders soiled themselves this morning because the retrospective review of six month trading didn't include bullish forward-looking numbers. But it wouldn't That's what this afternoon's presentation and Q&A is for. No panic here.
presentation was good so hopefully back up tomorrow. or knowing omega down but its looks good by christmas imho

Oh fk...

Well at least most of what I have bought is from the first big fall. I'd hate to be holding shares from pre march feb. Will just sit it out a while and instead of my monthly increase from wages hold it for a while in the bank.

If it stays like that until tomorrow. Everything could be horrendous. Today was bad enough.

I would think there are a load of people with shares they've held for a long time and haven't touched during this period. I know I didn't clear out my holdings.

At least this time we know once the president of the USA changes either one will inject a stimulus package and or make it their first priority. Also the big losers we all know travel/tourism/ transport/ highstreet.

The US markets are looking very different to the FTSE.

Ftse is banking, insurance finance and a load of investment companies with some resources. However whatever the USA does the rest of the world follows. Look at the first stimulus packages, The UK and EU ones only caused a tiny blip. the US one was the game changer.

Point was that there are plenty of US stocks performing relatively well.
